Imagine a small child attempting to take home a feral cat she found in an alley and you'll have a pretty good idea of how Brianna and Abbi became best friends. From the minute they met, they have been day and night, but inseparable nonetheless. Brianna has been around for the highest of highs and lowest of lows, and never once has she backed down from being the most caring and supportive friend on the face of the earth. I [Abbi] am honored that she is my maid of honor.

Sage and Abbi match each other's weird, and have since they were four years old. She and Brianna are Abbi's oldest friends, and likewise, Sage has been there for it all. They've shared a lot of giggles over inside jokes that shouldn't be repeated in public, nuances about their favorite music, and a lot of philosophical conversations about their areas of study. After 21 years of friendship, they never run out of things to talk about.

In the blazing hellfire that was freshman year of college, Abbi and Sierra were kindred spirits fighting it out together. They shared a suite room, a soccer team, all of their chemistry classes, and a bunch of Costco-sized palates of canned soup back in the day. Like a big sister, Sierra was always there as a shoulder to cry on, or a threatening presence to scare away boys at the bar. Abbi couldn't have asked for a better college survival buddy.

When Abbi met Jake (to be introduced later on this website) during their AEMT license course, she was on her gap year and between a lot of things--education, towns, and friends. Jake was nice enough to introduce Abbi to his wife, Jess, and immediately they became friends. Even though they had just met, Jess was unconditionally supportive and kind, no matter the topic of conversation. Jess never misses a beat to throw in words of encouragement and has become family through the time that we have known her.

When Abbi started medical school in Grand Forks, she went from living in a town full of her friends to feeling all alone in figuring out how to be a medical student. Lucky for her, someone else was going through something very similar. Abbi and Myckynzie became friends through their mutual medical school friend group and really hit it off after going to see the Barbie Movie together (we are Kenough). They've shared a lot of celebrations over big wins and tears over exams, and they can't wait to joke about leaving it all behind them once they become attendings.

In a class of 78 students, exactly 3 people fought hard to choose Minot, ND as the clinical site to finish out the hands-on portion of the MD degree--and 2 of them were Abbi and Allison. After casually mentioning the idea of living together at a Christmas party to Abbi (who thought she was kidding), Allison quickly became one of her closest friends at school, specifically after spending a month straight locked in the cadaver lab with Abbi during advanced anatomy. A core witness of the epic highs and lows of the MD didactic, she has been fabulous at supporting Abbi through it all.

James (JP) is Peter's taller, smarter, funnier, better looking, younger, and favorite brother. They met all the way back in 2002 and have been friends ever since. An art enthusiast, amateur photographer, and an airplane mechanic in-training, Peter and Abbi are glad that he could come back to ground for their special day.

Ethan knocked on Peter's door one day in 2010 and pretty much never left his house after that. He's like a bonus brother to Peter and JP, and the three of them stayed good friends through high school and college. Peter and Ethan lived together in Madison during Peter's gap year, and they bonded over the horrors of working night shift in healthcare. Peter is lucky to have a good friend like Ethan to look up to. (Really, really far up to...)

Peter and Alec met in a college physics class. Alec was the only one who understood the assignments, and Peter clung to him for dear life. Fortunately, Alec is kind and funny in addition to being a math whiz, and their friendship grew over many late night study sessions and movie nights. Alec and Abbi were roommates for a year, too, so both she and Peter are stoked to have him here with them on their big day.

Lucas (Luke) is Abbis younger brother and Peters soon to be brother-in-law. They met when Abbi and Peter first started dating, and theyve since bonded over a shared love of video games, computers, and auto racing. Peter is proud to be his family and even prouder to be his friend. Luke is serving our country in the Air Force and can’t join us on our big day, but he’ll be here in spirit (and maybe on FaceTime)!

Thomas and Peter became fast friends after meeting in medical school. He is one of the funniest people Peter knows and always has a quip at the ready. Fortunately, he's one of the most understanding, too, and Peter has loved having him in his corner throughout medical school and beyond.

Michael is the first friend Peter made in medical school. He and Peter connected over many afternoons in the gym, study sessions, and cheap beers (sometimes all in one day). Peter is grateful to have Michael as a role model and friend.

To beat boredom in her gap year and earn a whopping $2 pay raise at her job, Abbi elected to get her Advanced EMT license while she figured out how to apply to medical school. There, she met Jake, who came to class carrying a cool thermos that had the Stryker cot logo on it, and eventually befriended him after determining that they loved their careers the same way. Jake was there for Abbi through her entire application process and has been ever since--he and his wife, Jessie, are an integral part of Peter and Abbi's support system. When times looked rough, Jake always seemed to know just what to say, and for that, Peter and Abbi asked him to officiate their big day.

Drew and Peter met during the first week of medical school and have been hanging out ever since. He’s a craft beer connoisseur, road rage wordsmith, board game geek, and an incredible friend. He’s generous with his time, enthusiasm, support and advice, and Peter is lucky to have him by his side.
