Abby and I have been best friends for over fifteen years. I was the new girl at our elementary school and within five minutes of being in my new class, Abby came bounding up to me and told me we were now friends. From that moment on we were inseparable. We had sleepovers as often as we could and would stay up into the wee hours of the night until our parents came into the room for the fifth time begging us to go to sleep. I didn’t only gain a best friend, I gained a sister and a person who had my back no matter what, unconditionally. Abby is so selfless and has seen me through every single hardship in my life and has been a steady rock through all of the ups and downs. She knows me better than anyone else, including myself. I have had the honor of watching her grow into the driven, hardworking, compassionate, lively, and confident woman that she is today. Abby is truly a one of a kind, and frankly I never thought anyone would be good enough for her, but then Peter came along. I met Peter at a party at Cal Poly while I was visiting Abby. She introduced us and I immediately thought he was wonderful. They were just friends at the time, but it was clear to me that there was something more bubbling under the surface. I can truly say that I cannot imagine Abby with anyone else. Peter is kind, attentive, respectful, and just a genuinely good human. I am so happy that they found each other, anyone can see that their relationship is full of love and joy and that they both know how lucky they are. I cannot think of a better couple to be celebrating on this day, let’s party!

Hi everyone! My name's Robert and I met Peter my freshman year of college while pledging the same fraternity. You meet a lot of people freshman year—I mean A LOT—but I can honestly say Peter was one of the few that stood out to me. Beyond just his infectious laugh, being a grade older than me I was naturally drawn to his wisdom and swagger, so when he asked me to be his roommate it was a resounding YES! By the time I realized my mistake though, it was already too late!! Yet after three years of living with him—and a lifetime of horrible pool games, after-class Pita Pit trips, and bedtime stories (just kidding)—I couldn't imagine a better college roommate and life-long friend. That goes for Abigail as well—our unofficial third roommate! Poke bowl adventures and peanut butter cookies whenever I wanted, she was a shoo-in from the get-go. I love them both so much and couldn't ask for better people in my life. Looking forward to the lifetime of happiness ahead of them, with me crashing on their couch whenever I get the chance!

The first time I saw Abby was in the common room of Trinity Hall our freshman year at Cal Poly. She was beautiful, funny, brilliant, and BOLD. So bold, in fact, that one day out of the blue she looked at me and said, “you’re my new girlfriend”, pulling me into her lap. Shy though I was, I loved her from that moment on. We grew together through all of the twists and turns of young adulthood: living together in our first apartment, dancing the night away at any party we could find, reminiscing on the best times, suffering through the worst hangovers, gut-busting laugh attacks, late-night study sessions, and cheering each other on even through the most questionable circumstances. 

I also met Peter early on in my Cal Poly career. He was the sweet and ridiculously silly fraternity brother of my boyfriend. I knew him for his kindness, poise, and ability to totally surprise you with a…errrr…colorful joke; many of the same traits I loved in my best friend Abby. Despite this, I somehow never thought of them together. I do not recall how or when they connected, but from the moment they got together, it was clear to everyone that their love would last forever. 

Since those early days, our friendship has grown with every passing year. These two are such a special pair and exemplify true love in all that they do. I feel so lucky to call them my best friends. 

It is a true honor to be part of this very special wedding! Let’s party!

Rachel Carlson

I met Peter our freshman year of college. We were also both in the same engineering department and lived close to each other. Countless times our freshman year, I would climb up Peter's bunk bed to wake him up from his mid-afternoon nap (which was a much too frequent occurrence for a fully-grown man) and ask him to help me on our Computer-Aided Design assignments. He would always gladly sacrifice his precious mid-afternoon slumber to help me with my homework. That’s when I knew I had a real friend because I knew how important those naps were to him. From then on, I seemed to follow Peter around everywhere he went - from joining Sigma Pi (our fraternity) to living in the fraternity house, to a local trip to In-n-Out. Peter is one of my best friends, and I’m so glad that he found such a sweet, smart, and fun-loving person in Abby to spend the rest of his life with.

Rahul Sengupta

Abby and I have known each other since the start - she was the first to arrive at my 1st birthday party in 1997. It’s unbelievable to think that I have known her my entire life, she has always been there. Our friendship has stood the test of time and is everlasting, even though we are now on different coasts. This is nothing new, we have always lived in different cities and attended school in different districts, but we are bonded regardless. We at times went to great lengths to stay connected, like pretending we were sisters so we could go to a cooking camp together in Redondo Beach. For the record, it was an honor to be Kendall Attig (and if you ever need to be Abby Towne, LMK). Youth Group and SSP helped keep us connected throughout our teens. I speak from experience when I say nothing strengthens a friendship more than driving camp counselors and chaperones insane for a week straight. And we were very good at it. I could go on and on, but the point is that I’m so grateful for all of the love and wonderful memories we have. Abby, you are such a gift.

I met Peter through Abby, and although I haven’t spent as much time with him, it doesn’t take very long to see how much he loves her. He is an amazing guy and they are truly a wonderful match. I’m so thrilled they have each other to love and support through the ups and downs of life, they make a great team.

It’s an honor to be a part of this day which will mark a new chapter of their lives. I’m so excited for you both, let’s do this thing!

Kendall Towne

Hi everyone! My name is Zach and I met Peter my sophomore year of college through our fraternity. I also went to high school with Abby. Little did I know that Peter would end up sleeping in my basement for a summer while he worked down in Redondo Beach, and it was that summer that he and Abby started dating! They tricked me into third-wheeling one of their first dates and the rest is history. Peter and I have slept in the same bed in Redondo Beach, Vegas, New York, and now Santa Maria after the wedding night! Sorry, Abby ;) In all seriousness, I think it was immediately clear to everyone around them that these two would end up getting married. They are both the sweetest, most thoughtful, and loyal people. I couldn't be happier for them.

I first met Abby in Middle School. She was a fellow tomboy who wasn’t afraid to play sports with the boys at lunch and most times she was better than them! We became fast friends. She and her family welcomed me into their home almost every day after school. Giving me activities, snacks and of course NCIS. They invited me to go on service projects with their church youth group, of which I eventually became a part, and encouraged me to attend church with them, of which I am a member to this day. Somewhere along the line, her parents adopted me as their God-child and we literally became sisters. We spent countless hours together, practically living at each others’ houses throughout middle and high school. Most of the wonderful things in my life today I attribute to Abby and her family. It has been an honor to know and love her. She is artistic, talented, athletic, beautiful and wise. She speaks her mind when others are afraid to and stands out among the crowd. She has inspired me endlessly and helped shape me into the person I am today. 

It wasn’t until I was visiting Abby at Cal Poly that I met Peter at a frat party. I called “dibs” and Abby said no because she was into him and actually went to the school. I thought “fair is fair” and the rest is history! Looking forward to celebrating the happy couple! Let’s party!

Peter and I became friends during our second year at Cal Poly. Both of us being nerds, we clicked right away. Life took us on quite a ride after that; through 3 years in a Fraternity together, across the world backpacking, into the financially responsible hobby of paragliding, and countless other days and nights that I look back on fondly. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better friend during my college years and thereafter. Peter and Abby are the dynamic duo that many look up to. Their love for each other and zest for life is infectious, and together, they help bring everyone up around them. If you are with them, you are certainly having a great time. Genuine, compassionate, honorable, benevolent; words I would use to describe these two, who live to give and always see the best in others. Also… Abby is a saint for putting up with, and usually even supporting, many years of our antics and crazy ventures…  I’m thankful to be a part of their wedding day, and I know the best days are the ones ahead of them.

Abby came into my life almost four years ago when I started dating her older brother, Clay. Being an only child, I always dreamed of having a sister, but my parents compensated by letting me have all sorts of animals- which is why I became a veterinarian! Now I have the best of both worlds.

I really hit the jackpot with how wonderful and loving my new family is. I look forward to many more board game nights, wine tasting days, and backpacking trips with Abby and Peter in the future. I can’t wait for our families to grow together.

Hi everyone! My name is Mark and I’m Peter’s younger brother. When I was really young, I would enjoy playing with Peter in the free time he had. When he and our dad started doing robotics, I would spend time there to be with him, and then that incentivized me to do robotics myself. Most of what Peter ended up doing in high school really interested me, and even when he went to college his experiences inspired me to pave my own path. I’ve always looked up to him and he’s always been a great role model for me. His funny and care free personality is a stark contrast to our father, who is very serious. Having that difference in my life greatly changed how I shaped my own personality. A funny story about Peter was when he was working at Dairy Queen in high school. My grandma and I went to visit him and get sundaes, and instead of tilting the cup upside down like they normally do, he pushed it at me and the ice cream came out. It ended up getting all over me and he had to make a new one. He will never live that down.

FROM THE CA-101 HEADING NORTH or SOUTH, take the CA-166 East toward Maricopa and travel about 15 minutes on the 166 (the venue is about 1/2 mile or more past Tepesquet Rd) until you see a brown sign on the right for Pine Canyon Station. Just past the sign you will take a sharp right onto Pine Canyon Road and see a lot of mailboxes. (Smokey the Bear is on the left side of CA-166 kitty-corner from our road, so if you pass him you went too far).&nbsp; Once you turn into Pine Canyon road, go straight ahead to the Attig Ranch gate. It will be open. (Do not go to the right up the hill as Pine Canyon road keeps going). Continue through the gate and you can park on the left side of the driveway. Note that you will not have cell service for the last 10 minutes of your drive.

Thursday or Sunday night would be $99. Free parking. Hotel Restaurant will be open. The weekend of June 11th is Cal Poly, SLO graduation, so rooms will book up quickly. Please make arrangements to reserve your room as soon as possible. Check in time is 3 p.m., so if you need to get in a little earlier, please call. We have asked the hotel to try and accommodate our guests for early check-in if they possibly can.

Santa Maria Inn

We have arranged for two shuttle buses to transport our guests between the Santa Maria Inn and the wedding venue. This complimentary transportation will enable you to enjoy the reception without worrying about driving back at the end of the evening. When you RSVP for the wedding, please indicate if you would like to reserve a seat on the shuttle. Shuttle departure times are 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. Please ensure you are in the hotel parking lot 15 minutes ahead of time to begin loading on the bus. Return shuttles will depart from the wedding venue at 9 p.m., 10 p.m. and a last bus at 11 p.m. If you would like to drive your own vehicle, the venue has plenty of parking available.

Guests are welcome to camp on the Attig Ranch property the night of June 11th, following the wedding. Please make sure to bring your own camping supplies. Tent and RV camping are welcome.

The venue is spread out across a couple of acres with natural ranch terrain, so make sure to wear comfortable footwear. Ladies, due to the uneven ground, heels are not recommended. Flats, cowboy boots, and tennis shoes are encouraged.
