Our Wedding

We met each other in July, 2020, just months after the world went into lockdown. While everyone was locked in their homes, a new social media platform was created: Tik Tok. It may be hard to believe to some, but that very app is where we met. Never in a million years did either of us think that we would find our forever person on Tik Tok in a comment section. Texting all day turned into facetiming for hours, which then turned into hanging out after my shift in one of our cars at the restaurant I worked at. From there on out, the rest is history. Some people would say that 2020 was the worst year of their lives. For us, it was quite the opposite. Amidst all the chaos going on in the world at that time, we found calmness and comfort in each other.

How it All Began

August 2020 we were separated onto opposite sides of the state. Jakson lived in Grand Rapids, and I went to Saginaw for the next four years for college. Neither of us knew what was in store for us or how difficult it would be to be what felt so far from each other. Lets just say there was nothing to worry about. Jakson probably put 10,000 miles on his car my first two semesters of college. After 4 1/2 years of going back and forth, I finally graduated and moved back to Grand Rapids, where I then moved in with Jakson and our four other roommates. Though there was no space for anything anywhere, but it didnt matter, we were finally together in the same home.

The Last 5 Years of Us

It’s now just the two of us and our two dogs, Diesel and Sully. Since being just the two of us, we’ve enjoyed every little moment of spending time together. Amidst all the chaos of planning a wedding, we get to do it together, just like we get to do everything else in this lifetime. Thank you for being here, and we cannot wait to enter the start of our forever with you all by our sides❤️
