As many of you know our love story started early as high school sweethearts. What many of you may not know is that it wasn't a two way love affair. Mitch and I had know each other for many years before we even had a conversation. To be honest I had interacted with his twin brother Andrew more than Mitch.....thank you Spanish class. Of course Mitch and I knew of each other and participated in band together, but we hung out in different circles and were busy doing our own things, that is until January of 2013. It was Mitches junior year and my sophomore year of high school and we happened to be placed in the same math class. I minded my own business, but Mitch was very interested in making his presence to me known in class. For weeks he tried to get me to study with him, be his partner, or walk me to my next class. I shot him down each time and always came up with an excuse to avoid him. It wasn't until I was out of school sick for a week that I truly understood how interested he was in me. Mitch texted me daily the entire week I was gone to see how I was feeling and to ask if I was going to be in class the next day. When I finally returned back to school he made sure I was caught up in math, even though he honestly had no idea what we were doing in math either. Pray for our children now because math is not a strong suit for us. Later that week at a basketball game we were both playing in pep band when Mitch asked me to come over to his house the next night to hangout. I finally decided to give the poor guy a chance in hopes that we would hangout for one night and then he would leave me alone. Little did I know I would never go a day without talking to him again after that night. Moral of the story being stubborn and annoying can pay off. Give it a shot you never know what might happen, and last but definitely not least.....love finds you when you least expect it.
Our very first picture together at pep band that night!
