Abby and Bryan met at age 12 in middle school. She was in 8th grade, and he was in 7th. They were friends who sat next to each other in geometry. They both agreed the class was way too hard, but being side by side made it a little more fun.

Somewhere along the way, Abby was Bryan’s first kiss.

She’s still proud of that.

He’s still proud that she was a grade older than him.

Fast forward to their twenties, they reconnected at 25 and immediately realized the conversation was the easiest and most natural either of them had ever had. Bryan asked Abby to coffee and for a walk around a park in Cincinnati, and that was it. They have been together ever since.

Eventually, Abby managed to do the impossible: she convinced a kind, smart, Midwestern guy to pack up and move to New York City. Yes, apparently it can be done!

Right before Christmas of 2024, Bryan proposed in New York overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge just steps from Abby’s very first NYC apartment. A beautiful tribute to the "Sleeps Til Christmas App" Abby showed Bryan every day back in geometry...even in months as early as September.

They’re endlessly grateful to both God and their families for their love and support. This is only the beginning.

And this story wouldn’t be complete without honoring Bryan’s mom, Shawna, who is deeply missed. They know she’ll be smiling on their day from the best seat in the house- the front row in heaven.
