A lovely place to walk around and get some fresh air. At this time of year the rose garden should be in full bloom! Be aware there are many shaded spots to cool off in BUT the only place to escape the heat will be in the Leaf & Petal (not our wedding venue) located at the entrance to the gardens.

A landmark in Birmingham and the tallest cast iron statue in the world representing Birmingham's history of steel production. There is more to do than just go admire the backside of Vulcan himself, the view of Birmingham is spectacular along with the option to climb to the top, as well as a museum located just next to the statue itself (at the bottom.)

Also our first date spot and where we met with friends after our engagement! Great place for drinks especially if you like gin. Order the buzz word and try the weird little peppercorn they give you with it to change the flavor profile of the drink.

We've frequented Bettola and have yet to be disappointed. Much closer to "genuine" Italian food than many other places. Their pizza's and pasta's are all made in house with their fresh dough. We always get the burrata and an old fashioned to start.
