Our Story

Our Beginning

Abby and Noah first met in April 2015 when Abby's close friend and college roommate, Hannah, brought her friends to her family birthday party in Orchard Park, NY. The group met Hannah's brother, Noah, who they had been hearing stories about for the past year and a half. Little did everyone know that not only were they meeting Hannah's brother, but they were also meeting Abby's future husband! Abby and Noah were fast friends and Abby always looked forward to when Noah would come to Rochester to visit his sister for the weekend. Abby and Noah got even closer when she lived with his family for a month in the summer of 2017 while doing a clinical rotation in Buffalo. Abby was living there while she celebrated turning 22, and Noah made sure her birthday was special by winning her a stuffed animal from the fair and wearing a full suit to her birthday dinner. A few months later, Abby was back in buffalo with her besties to go to SantaCon. For those of you who don't know, SantaCon is an exciting event where full-grown adults dress up as Santa Claus and go bar-hopping all day. Naturally, Abby and Noah spent a lot of time together that day and with a little bit of liquid courage they finally shared a passionate true love's first kiss. After that, things quickly progressed in their relationship and before they knew it, they were heading across the country to start their lives together in Las Vegas!

Our Engagement

In July of 2022, Abby and Noah embarked on one of their weekend getaways to Sequoia National Park. They had been together for a little over 4 years, and Abby certainly had her suspicions that Noah might be popping the question on this particular trip. On their first full day at the park, Abby and Noah woke up at the little cabin they were renting, and after going to grab a quick breakfast, decided to do a little walk around the wilderness surrounding their cabin. They came to rest at a beautiful, secluded riverbank, and Abby immediately waded into the water to search for minnows. After a few moments, she heard a throat clear behind her, and she turned around to find Noah down one knee with a ring in hand. After screaming "Shut up! SHUT UP!!!" multiple times, Abby was able to calm down enough to say yes and Noah slipped the ring onto her finger. Although Abby was expecting it to happen at some point that weekend, nothing could have prepared her for that wonderful moment. They spent the rest of the day lounging by the river, exploring the trails in Sequoia National Park, and doing a sunset hike. It was the best day.
