Our Wedding

We first met at Miami University during our freshman year. I was leaving an accounting class and Abby was exiting a chemistry lab. A mutual friend introduced us and sparks began to fly. We started to date our sophomore year. By coincidence, we lived around the corner from one another our junior and senior years. After college, I moved to Texas and we continued our relationship from afar. After a year, I was able to find an amazing job in Louisville. Upon returning to Louisville, was when I soon proposed to Abby in November of 2017. We are very excited to have our wedding this December and to share our wedding experience with all of you. We cannot wait to get married!!!

His Story

I met James in the Spring of our freshman year of college at Miami University. James has just transferred from Toledo where he played football, and we met when we were both leaving class while I was walking with one of his fraternity brothers. I knew right when I met James that there was something about him I really liked, but unfortunately I was dating someone else at the time (yikes!). James and I continued to be friends and would always hang out with each other at parties or out with friends. I knew there was something really special about him when he would always offer to walk me back to my dorm after his fraternity parties. He was always so polite, respectful and kind-- which I found so attractive. I finally came to my senses and told my girlfriends that I was really into James. We started dating in the Spring of our sophomore year and had our first date at Bob Evans! A tradition at Miami is that if couples kiss under the Upham Arch in the center of campus that you are destined to be married and become a "Miami Merger". Naturally, we kissed under the arch our senior year and the rest is history! James moved to Texas right after graduation, which was definitely a test of the strength of our relationship. After a year in Texas I was so thrilled when James found a job in Louisville. For a while, thought he would never propose....he was definitely taking his time; we had been together for 5 years! But in November 2017 James proposed outside of his parents home in Granville, OH when we were visiting for the holidays. I was so thrilled and I cannot wait to be his wife!!
