Joe and Abby started dating in November 2019 after they met in Rochester while attending college. Their first date was at the Genesee Brewhouse where they bonded over their common interests and life aspirations. They quickly grew close with the help of the COVID-19 pandemic where they spent the first half 2020 quarantined together in Joe's college house.

After college, Joe took a job in Syracuse, while Abby stayed in Rochester for a year and then moved back to Seneca Falls while she worked remotely. During this time, they spent most weekends together going to Syracuse games, camping, or taking trips to the Adirondacks.

In June 2023, Abby and Joe decided to settle down in their first home together in Camillus and have been there since. Over the past few years, they have spent their fair share of time at the Dome and trying new breweries and restaurants, (especially those that serve chicken riggies). They also enjoy spending summers on their boat, hosting their friends for wine tours, taking weekend trips to new cities, and hanging out with their families. Their quiet nights together consist of working on house projects, puzzles, and intense games of Scrabble and Yahtzee.

On December 20th, 2024, Joe proposed to Abby in their home. Abby came home to the house covered with candles and rose pedals with Joe down on one knee in front of the Christmas tree. Now, they cannot be more excited to celebrate their special day with their close friends and family on July 18, 2026.
