Alex and Abby matched on Tinder in December of 2019. Little did they know almost 5 years later they would be saying I Do. Alex and Abby started their relationship with long-distance as Alex was attending Missouri State in Springfield and Abby was attending St. Charles Community College. Not too far into 2020 COVID began, which caused a bit of a challenge. Alex was home in Florissant for the rest of the school year, this made them closer in distance but social distancing became an issue.

Once things started to settle down in the world things got easier for them as they could see each other regularly and Alex finally asked Abby to be his girlfriend in June of 2020. They have been inseparable since! They have been through a lot together, from long distances, navigating a new relationship through COVID, nursing school, new jobs, unexpected job changes, loss of family members, health issues, buying their first home, and more! They have been by each other's side through it all.

On October 3, 2023, the long-awaited proposal happened! Alex asked Abby to marry him in the location where they had their first kiss. According to Abby, he could not have picked a more special or personal place to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together.
