Once&nbsp;upon&nbsp;a&nbsp;swipe,&nbsp;back&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;mysterious&nbsp;days&nbsp;of&nbsp;December&nbsp;2020,&nbsp;Abby&nbsp;was&nbsp;on&nbsp;Tinder—definitely&nbsp;not&nbsp;procrastinating&nbsp;all&nbsp;of&nbsp;life's&nbsp;responsibilities&nbsp;—when&nbsp;she&nbsp;came&nbsp;across&nbsp;a&nbsp;tall&nbsp;guy&nbsp;from&nbsp;North&nbsp;Carolina&nbsp;named&nbsp;Jacob,&nbsp;who&nbsp;just&nbsp;so&nbsp;happened&nbsp;to&nbsp;be&nbsp;trapped&nbsp;in&nbsp;quarantine.&nbsp;Romantic?&nbsp;Not&nbsp;really.&nbsp;But&nbsp;fate?&nbsp;Absolutely. Because&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;was&nbsp;in&nbsp;lockdown,&nbsp;their&nbsp;first&nbsp;in-person&nbsp;date&nbsp;didn’t&nbsp;happen&nbsp;until&nbsp;December&nbsp;30th,&nbsp;a&nbsp;day&nbsp;now&nbsp;etched&nbsp;in&nbsp;history&nbsp;as&nbsp;the&nbsp;moment&nbsp;Abby&nbsp;met&nbsp;the&nbsp;man&nbsp;who&nbsp;thought&nbsp;they&nbsp;were&nbsp;already&nbsp;dating.&nbsp;That’s&nbsp;right—by&nbsp;January,&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;asked,&nbsp;“Will&nbsp;you&nbsp;be&nbsp;my&nbsp;girlfriend?”&nbsp;and&nbsp;was&nbsp;shocked&nbsp;to&nbsp;find&nbsp;out&nbsp;she&nbsp;hadn’t&nbsp;already&nbsp;agreed.&nbsp;Classic&nbsp;Jacob:&nbsp;emotionally&nbsp;committed,&nbsp;a&nbsp;few&nbsp;steps&nbsp;ahead,&nbsp;and&nbsp;just&nbsp;a&nbsp;bit&nbsp;confused. Despite&nbsp;that&nbsp;minor&nbsp;technicality,&nbsp;their&nbsp;relationship&nbsp;took&nbsp;off.&nbsp;They&nbsp;moved&nbsp;to&nbsp;Tennessee,&nbsp;a&nbsp;brave,&nbsp;bold&nbsp;move&nbsp;made&nbsp;easier&nbsp;with&nbsp;their&nbsp;shared&nbsp;love&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;mountains&nbsp;and&nbsp;their&nbsp;debates&nbsp;over&nbsp;the&nbsp;proper&nbsp;pronunciation&nbsp;of&nbsp;the&nbsp;word&nbsp;"syrup". For&nbsp;2½&nbsp;years,&nbsp;they&nbsp;built&nbsp;a&nbsp;life&nbsp;full&nbsp;of&nbsp;laughter,&nbsp;love,&nbsp;and&nbsp;pets.&nbsp;Abby&nbsp;brought&nbsp;her&nbsp;adorable,&nbsp;four-legged&nbsp;bestie&nbsp;Lena—a&nbsp;dog&nbsp;who&nbsp;knows&nbsp;she's&nbsp;the&nbsp;main&nbsp;character.&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;brought&nbsp;Nimbus,&nbsp;a&nbsp;cat&nbsp;with&nbsp;serious&nbsp;storm-cloud&nbsp;energy&nbsp;and&nbsp;a&nbsp;name&nbsp;that&nbsp;says&nbsp;“my&nbsp;dad&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;meteorologist." And&nbsp;oh,&nbsp;Jacob&nbsp;is&nbsp;into&nbsp;meteorology.&nbsp;Like,&nbsp;deeply.&nbsp;The&nbsp;man&nbsp;will&nbsp;pause&nbsp;mid-sentence&nbsp;to&nbsp;analyze&nbsp;a&nbsp;cloud&nbsp;formation.&nbsp;Or&nbsp;get&nbsp;emotional&nbsp;over&nbsp;a&nbsp;cold&nbsp;front.&nbsp;When&nbsp;he’s&nbsp;not&nbsp;tracking&nbsp;the&nbsp;weather,&nbsp;he’s&nbsp;chasing&nbsp;birdies&nbsp;on&nbsp;the&nbsp;golf&nbsp;course&nbsp;like&nbsp;it's&nbsp;his&nbsp;second&nbsp;job. Meanwhile,&nbsp;Abby&nbsp;is&nbsp;a&nbsp;brilliant&nbsp;speech-language&nbsp;pathologist,&nbsp;spending&nbsp;her&nbsp;days&nbsp;helping&nbsp;others&nbsp;find&nbsp;their&nbsp;voices—and&nbsp;her&nbsp;evenings&nbsp;living&nbsp;her&nbsp;best&nbsp;life&nbsp;in&nbsp;the&nbsp;kitchen.&nbsp;Cooking&nbsp;is&nbsp;her&nbsp;love&nbsp;language.&nbsp;And&nbsp;Jacob?&nbsp;He's&nbsp;the&nbsp;very&nbsp;willing&nbsp;taste&nbsp;tester. Now,&nbsp;they’re&nbsp;counting&nbsp;down&nbsp;to&nbsp;March&nbsp;21,&nbsp;2026,&nbsp;the&nbsp;day&nbsp;they&nbsp;make&nbsp;it&nbsp;officially&nbsp;official.&nbsp;The&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;will&nbsp;no&nbsp;doubt&nbsp;be&nbsp;filled&nbsp;with&nbsp;love,&nbsp;laughter,&nbsp;a&nbsp;perfectly&nbsp;curated&nbsp;playlist,&nbsp;and&nbsp;someone&nbsp;(probably&nbsp;Jacob)&nbsp;checking&nbsp;the&nbsp;weather&nbsp;radar&nbsp;between&nbsp;vows.
