Alex and Abby met online while Alex was working (practically living) on Long Island in March 2018. During a very short trip home Alex asked Abby to drinks, they hit it off, and the rest is history.

Little did they know, they had actually lived across the street from one another in their apartment complex in Edwardsville, IL. They also both attended SIU Edwardsville and had many mutual friends but somehow never met!

After dating for 2+ years and going on many adventures together, Alex completely surprised Abby by getting down on one knee in the backyard of the house they share on August 27, 2020 (with their dog Ollie present, of course). Their families were circling the neighborhood waiting for the go ahead and showed up minutes later to celebrate.

We can’t wait for this next chapter to begin!
