Mason and Abby got to know each other during the fall of 2021 as they were hired to work on the same Residence Life staff at Concordia University Wisconsin. They grew closer as friends that school year through many early morning trips to CycleBar and lots of fun events their staff worked on together. They kept in touch the whole next summer while Mason was working at Camp Lutherhaven. They (finally) started dating at the end of September 2022. Mason proposed on April 27th of 2024 at Upper Lake Park in Port Washington, WI which is one of their favorite spots that overlooks beautiful Lake Michigan. Abby thought she was going to her birthday dinner a few days early until Mason surprised her after a whole day of fun. Both Abby and Mason's parents were hiding in the bushes to celebrate right after. Mason made the day perfect and they were able to share that night with their closest friends.

Abby's favorite memories with Mason so far have been time with family in Fort Wayne and in Missouri and their first date when they talked for hours on the bluff at Concordia.

Mason's favorite memories with Abby have been all of the road trips, Abby introducing him to lots of new places to eat, and getting to spend lots of time together going on walks!
