In January 2016, Alex (or Alex Foley as Abby calls him) moved into a new place in Oxford. We had been talking here and there over winter break, so Alex invited me over to help him move into his new house. We kept running into each other around Oxford, and Alex finally built up the courage to ask me to go on a date to dinner at Ajax, then Funky's afterwards for a few daiquiris. Shocking, we know. And after Alex asked me to be his girlfriend three different times, I finally said yes. (seriously, that's how it happened!)

We spent the rest of our time at Ole Miss together, lived in Denver for a summer, and both moved to Dallas after we graduated. Since we've been in Texas, we got our sweet pup, Griffey, eaten at way too many restaurants, went to our first country line dancing bar and built a life that we're so incredibly proud of!

On March 3, 2021, Alex took me to Pray, Montana as a birthday gift, and proposed to me in the most amazing place we've ever been. We got to celebrate together just the two of us for the rest of the trip, and celebrated with our closest friends at a surprise engagement party when we landed back in Dallas.

We will never forget this moment, and cannot WAIT to celebrate with everyone in March!
