Downtown Cary is a great place to walk around! When Sam visited North Carolina this is one of the first places we took him! I love the fountain near the Cary Arts Center - and there is a huge park. Very fun to explore! Try out Zest in Cary, NC for a good bite. If you need a sweet treat I highly recommend FRESH ice cream!
Lastly, check out Esteamed Coffee - a non-profit coffee shop that employs adults with disabilities. A great mission and great coffee!

The North Carolina State Fair is opens on October 16! Enjoy turkey legs, pig races, fried Oreos and more! My family LOVED going to the fair. It is an experience unique to NC that you don't want to miss!

Fenton is a super fun place to shop and dine!

One of my personal favorites is Colletta - delicious italian food! I have fond memories of suprising my mom on a visit home here.

I also highly recommend M Test Kitchen for a unique upscale dining experience! This restaurant is a creative space for M Restaurants with a constantly evolving menu!

For out of town guests, head to Cookout or Bojangles to get the North Carolina experience! :) If you go to Cookout I recommend that you at least get a milkshake (you can mix any flavors you want together). If you try Bojangles - the BoBerry biscuit is a must have!
