Q + A

Mark and Abby’s story began on Hinge (modern dating, am I right?), where their connection was instant. At the time, Mark was pursuing his master’s degree at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and Abby was taking a break before starting medical school. Their first date at Lock 27, a local brewery, was unforgettable—they talked so much that they closed the place down! From one date to the next, it quickly became clear they had something special. Just five months into their new relationship, Mark received an assignment in New Mexico and their relationship was put to the test. Over two years of long-distance, they stayed close through frequent visits, daily FaceTime calls, countless hours of video gaming together, and even virtual paint date nights. In November 2022, their long-distance chapter came to an end when they moved in together. Within two months—and with a little persuasion from both Abby and Mark’s side of the family—they welcomed two adorable cats, Ciri and Toph, into their home. On September 19, 2023, Mark proposed during the enchanting "Golden Hour" in the picturesque yard of a cabin in Hocking Hills. It was a magical moment, marking the start of their next chapter together. Mark and Abby have since grown as partners, best friends, and soulmates. They are so excited to celebrate their next big milestone on May 3rd, 2025 surrounded by the people they love. Thank you for being part of their story and journey—here’s to a future filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories!

For our out-of-town guests, you have several airport options to consider. The most convenient choice is Dayton International Airport (DAY), which is just about a 15-minute drive from our venue and hotel. This option is perfect for a quick and easy trip.

Columbus International Airport (CMH)

Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)

If you’re looking for more flight options or planning to explore the area a bit, John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH) and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) are both approximately a 1-hour drive from the venue and hotel. Either of these airports could be a great choice, especially if you find good flight deals or want to check out Columbus or Cincinnati. Choose the airport that best fits your travel plans.
