Our Wedding

Every time we tell our story, we marvel at how unbelievable it is that it took so long to meet. When we were at Clemson, we lived in the same dorm building, shared classes w/ the others' best friends, were apart of the same student org. at different times, as well as a myriad of other invisible strings. However, with all of these shared connections, it was inevitable that we would meet, and we did just that in December of 2021. What started as a casual evening out in downtown Clemson with mutual friends ended with a blossoming relationship and a full week of dates. Little did we know that those nights at Mexican restaurants, Waffle House, and Backstreets would be the groundwork for a lifelong love and commitment to one another. As we began to date, we went through many incredible life events with each other at our sides: 3 separate graduations, moves around the country, and new careers. Through it all, we always had one another as a source of laughs, support, and motivation, which has only ever helped our love flourish. Evan has said many times that within a month or two of dating, he knew with absolute certainty that Abby would be the one he wanted to marry. Now, we are so thankful and excited to be able to do just that, surrounded by our family, friends, and loved ones. We are so very excited for this next chapter in our lives, and for all of the blessings that will follow. Though no one can know what the future holds, we DO know one thing: that it will be a future that we will always share together.

Thank you for making the journey to celebrate with us! We're delighted to have family and friends from near and far coming to our wedding. To help you find accommodations, we have reserved a block of hotel rooms for two nights from June 6 to June 8 at The Hilton Garden Inn Charleston Waterfront, Phone: 843-637-4074 and June 5 to June 9 at The Courtyard Charleston Waterfront, Phone: 844-683-8959. If you wish to book a room at a special group rate that we've negotiated on your behalf, visit the websites listed below or call them directly to inquire about the Simpson-Watson wedding block before&nbsp;May 6&nbsp;to ensure you have a place to stay, as space is limited.&nbsp;&nbsp; We want you to relax and safely enjoy our big day. That is why we have arranged complimentary transportation to and from the wedding ceremony and reception. Shuttles will depart from the driveway between the two hotels where we have reserved room blocks beginning at 3pm and will be available to drive to the reception at the Historic Rice Mill immediately following the ceremony. Shuttles will also provide transportation from the reception back to the two hotels between 8pm and 11pm.
