Q + A

Will there be snow?

Yes- and lots of it! WP gets over 200 inches of snow each season, and this will be no exception! In all likelihood it may snow if you are here for more than a couple of days, although bluebird sunshine days are very common as well!

What date should I RSVP by?

Please try to RSVP by December 27, 2025! This gives us time to work with our vendors to ensure everything will be accurate!

Are kids invited?

Unfortunately, as much as we’d love to invite all of our friends’ children, we can only accommodate a few close family children. We hope that you will understand this decision and that you will still be able to join us on our special day.

Can I bring a plus one to your wedding?

We are so excited to celebrate with our closest family and friends and have chosen to keep our wedding intimate. Please only bring the guests named on the invitation.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Given how small our wedding is, we have reserved cabins for the wedding party and family. We recommend searching on AirBnB or VRBO as these usually have cheaper options available and more amenities as well! (How can you winter vacation without a hot tub?) Winter Park is very small, the entire strip can be driven in 5-10 minutes, so most places in town will be a convenient location.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the venue?

The Winter Park/Lyft shuttle system is fantastic and will be able to drop off guests right at our venue! We are working on transportation later that night as the reception ends. Please feel free to look at the Travel tab for more information on the local shuttle system.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

We are keeping the dress code semi-formal, focus on the semi. We want our guests comfortable (and warm) most of all. Please wear comfy shoes, we have spent a lot of time planning an absolutely epic dance party!

What kind of clothes should I pack?

We highly recommend bringing warm winter boots (columbia makes a variety of pretty cost affordable shoes, but feel free to do your own research!), under layers, thermal socks, and GOOD jackets. The sun is very bright here and provides a lot of warmth, but when it goes down there's a significant drop in temperature so plan ahead!

Where are you registered for wedding gifts?

Given this is a destination wedding and most of you are traveling, your presence is our present. However, if you would like to contribute more, we would be honored for you to help donate to our honeymoon and (very tiny) master bedroom remodel! Completely optional.

Is it okay to take and post wedding photos on social media?

We are working diligently to have all modes of documentation! There will be a videographer, photographer, as well as a photobooth with print outs to make memories of the night that we can share with you. Smartphone pictures are welcome as well, but please do not take any pictures or videos during the ceremony or first dances. We appreciate your respect on this!

Will you be able to meet dietary restrictions?

We are certainly trying to! We are working with our vendors to offer vegan/vegetarian and GF options. Please reach out to myself or Forrest if there are any other allergies/dietary restrictions we need to alert the caterer to.

Any other PSAs?

CO is technically classified as a desert, so it is very dry here and we have 300 sunshine days a year. Even in winter, PLEASE remember sunscreen! Lotion and SPF chapstick are musts as well. Please note you will be going from probably close to sea level to about 9-11,000 feet in elevation, depending on where you are. Please be cautious and take your time to acclimate - understand you may be short of breath! This is totally normal and dissipates with time.

What if my question isn't addressed here?

Please feel free to text myself or Forrest if you need any other information!
