Abby and Eli’s love story began thanks to Chad and Riley Barnard. In the early summer of 2022, Riley decided that her friend Abby just had to meet Chad’s friend, Eli. Abby was skeptical at first, brushing off Riley’s suggestion with a laugh. But fate—and Riley’s persistence—had other plans. Riley went ahead and gave Eli Abby’s Snapchat, and soon the two were chatting here and there. While their early conversations were casual, there was an undeniable spark waiting to grow. Sensing potential, Riley brought the whole friend group together for a dinner night. The evening was filled with laughter, games, and easy conversation—and somewhere between the jokes and smiles, Abby began to see something special in Eli. After a few more fun nights out with friends, Abby finally said yes to a date with him, curious and excited to see where things might lead.Their first date, which began with dinner at Smitty’s and ended with a playful round of putt-putt at Walter’s, was nothing short of magical. Abby knew there was something different about Eli—especially when she managed to beat him at putt-putt (a rare victory for someone who’s always been the “Vaughan Major Loser” in her family’s annual competition!). By early 2023, their connection had blossomed into something beautiful. Abby and Eli became inseparable, spending their days sharing laughter, adventures, and time with each other’s families—knowing in their hearts that this was only the beginning of their forever.

Sami and I met in 2012 when we were paired up to pray together. Ever since then, we have continued to pray for our friendship to grow stronger. Through thick and thin, she's been my rock, witnessing me at my best and worst. I couldn't imagine my wedding day without her by my side.

From childhood mischief on four-wheelers, trying to imitate the boys, to now growing up with that inner child still vibrant and alive, cherishing our childhood memories forever. Throughout the years, we've made many memories, and the best is yet to come.

Riley and I have a long history, dating back to preschool. Unfortunately, we went to different schools and drifted apart. However, we reconnected when our parents arranged for us to be college roommates at Murray State. Since then, we have been inseparable. You could say Riley is a matchmaker, as she's a significant reason for this special day.

From volleyball battles in 2018 to this moment, we’ve stood by each other’s side. Through late-night practices and countless losses (and a few wins), we forged a bond. We weren’t the best team, but I gained a best friend through it all! I am so grateful for our friendship, which extends beyond the game.
