Abby's version:

It was one of the last Fridays of my Junior year at the University of Northern Iowa and my best friends and&nbsp;I decided to have a Girl's Night In. We were watching a bunch of movies, reminiscing about the school year, and eating a bunch of junk food! During the movie I was snapchatting (thanks 21st century!)&nbsp;my friend Amanda who was hanging out with her boyfriend Zach and his roommate, Andrew. She sent a video of this Andrew guy dancing and being a goof, and I just remember thinking it was the funniest thing I had seen all day! I messaged&nbsp;Amanda back&nbsp;that I&nbsp;thought he was super&nbsp;cute and he even seemed tall!&nbsp;So.. fast forward to the next morning when I&nbsp;received a message from Andrew asking if I would like&nbsp;to get dinner the following weekend. I&nbsp;figured I&nbsp;had nothing to lose and he seemed like a pretty cool&nbsp;guy, so I agreed to it. We went to dinner and walked around the Iowa Central&nbsp;campus- and we were laughing and smiling the whole time. It was like we had been best friends for years. Since then, that smile hasn't left my face&nbsp;and I still think he's the funniest guy I&nbsp;know (..well most of the time ;).&nbsp;



Andrew's version: 







 It all started on a Friday after class. Zach, one of my groomsmen and I were listening to early 2000's music when the song "Get The Party Started" by Pink came on. Me being who I am, I went into my closet and when the chorus came on, I burst the closet doors open while singing "I'M COMING OUT, SO YOU BETTER GET THIS PARTY STARTED!" Then Zach's girlfriend Amanda asked me to do that again so she could video it... I agreed. Little did I know she sent this video to one of her friends whose name just so happened to be Abby Watson. She then proceeded to inform me that her friend Abby died laughing at the video, and I was intrigued. After that we started talking and it probably wasn't 24 hours later before I said that we should get a bite to eat the following weekend, and she agreed!!!

I think my favorite&nbsp;memory is when I flew down to San Antonio to surprise Andrew at Nationals for Trap Shooting when he was at Iowa Central.&nbsp;He was standing in the parking lot getting ready to go shoot when I&nbsp;rode by&nbsp;on the back of a golf cart that his mom and dad rented for the day.&nbsp;He had absolutely no idea and his face was just priceless!&nbsp;

I always enjoy going and doing things with Ab. I'll name a few because it's difficult to choose just one. We went sky diving&nbsp; for our first year anniversary and it&nbsp;was an amazing experience! Abby had to have some persuasion but she eventually agreed (as I gently nudged her out of the tiny plane at 10,000 feet..)&nbsp;and she ended up loving it!&nbsp;





Being totally&nbsp;surprised by Abby when I was at National Trap Shooting for Iowa Central&nbsp;in San Antonio was eye opening because it showed me how much she truly cared and supported me in the&nbsp;things I like to&nbsp;do. Plus she was the best good luck charm!





When I was at my internship in Colorado, Abby and her mom Julie,&nbsp;came to visit for a couple days and we got to go hiking, zip lining, and summited Mt. Evans (we drove up). This was the spot where&nbsp;I asked Abby to be my girlfriend in a really awkward way! But the rest is history!

We were super excited to be able to spend the weekend down in the Lake of the Ozarks, at Andrew's brothers' lake house! We spent the day in the water down at the dock with Andrew's nieces and nephew, brothers, and sister in-law, playing games and basking in the sun! In the afternoon, Andrew's brother AJ took us for a ride on his speedboat and by then, all of our stomachs were grumbling. AJ brought up the idea to go to dinner but he had mentioned that we should all dress up a little bit because it was kinda fancy. So, I&nbsp;honestly had one fleeting thought that this may be it, so I got all&nbsp;dressed and even put some makeup on. But then, Andrew walked into the room in a panic, with a concerned look on his face. He said to me "Ab this is the only shirt I&nbsp;packed and I don't have a "nicer" one to wear to eat", as he was pointing to his red America shirt with a big face of Abe Lincoln on it. So, it was then that the &nbsp;thought of this potentially being the proposal left my mind.&nbsp;He was just so concerned that his shirt&nbsp;wasn't nice enough and I&nbsp;just figured that if he had this whole plan laid out, that he probably would've remembered a "nicer" shirt for this fancy restaurant!&nbsp;Anyway, so we were all sitting in the dining room getting ready to leave when I notice that EVERYONE was going back&nbsp;down to the dock. It was only&nbsp;Andrew and I left in the house and I said to him "I thought we were leaving! Why is everyone going down there?&nbsp;I'm hungry!". Which is funny because normally, for those of you who know Andrew well, know that HE is the one to get "hangry" when he gets super hungry! :)&nbsp;He replied&nbsp;"I&nbsp;don't know but let's go down there" to which I said&nbsp;"nah, I'll just wait here&nbsp;I don't really want to walk all the way down there just to come right back up, I think&nbsp;we're&nbsp;leaving soon anyway". Long story short (after a small debate about going to the dock) we ended up going down there (and thank goodness we did!). Andrew walked to the opposite side of the dock and said he had a funny video to show me on his phone.&nbsp;I&nbsp;noticed that everyone was silent but didn't think anything of it and sat in the hammock that was conveniently placed right behind me. I had a second to look up from taking a sip of my Dr. Pepper to find that his brothers and his sister in law, Melissa, all had their phones up right at us. Before I had time to think, Andrew got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. I can't describe in words the utter&nbsp;shock and complete&nbsp;joy and excitement that rushed into my head. I was truly speechless. I always joked that I would know when Andrew was going to propose, but I honestly had no clue. Amidst happy tears and many I love you's, it was the easiest question I ever had to answer!













Andrew's version: 









We both knew&nbsp;for awhile that I was planning on proposing this summer but&nbsp;she&nbsp;just didn't know when. I wanted to do it somewhere cool, like on top of Mt. Evans in Colorado&nbsp;where I asked her to be my girlfriend, or after skydiving, like what we did for our 1st anniversary, but those trips didn't work well into our busy summer schedules.&nbsp;Abby and I planned to go to the Lake Of The Ozarks for a weekend and the lightbulb in my head went off. I immediately&nbsp;called my sister-in-law Melissa who was&nbsp;already&nbsp;down there and we set up the plan from there! I&nbsp;asked my brothers to stand at different angles&nbsp;(to get&nbsp;the good lighting of course), to get the whole thing on video and lots of pictures. Then I realized I didn't have a&nbsp;nice&nbsp;shirt to propose in, but honestly it didn't matter. It was quite the hassle trying to get Abby to go down to the dock because she had just showered and was lookin' GOOD for the place that we were about to go eat at.&nbsp;&nbsp;When I finally got her down there&nbsp;I told her I had a video to show her but I really didn't and when&nbsp;I realized I couldn't find one fast enough by the time she walked over to look at it, I slightly panicked. I tried to open Facebook but at that point she was very confused, &nbsp;I probably looked at her for what felt like 10 seconds before I could get those darn words out! To my surprise she actually put the Dr. Pepper she was holding down to accept my proposal. It was at that point that I knew she would be a good one:)&nbsp; &nbsp;Andoodle&gt;Dr. Pepper
