Abby and Alec met freshman year and Abby had a huge crush on Alec. It wasn't until sophomore year when Alec became roommates with one of Abby's close friends, that they began to talk and spend more time together. One day, Alec and Abby planned to watch a movie with a group of their friends and everyone bailed except for them. As they watched the movie together, sparks flew! The rest is history :)

Engagement Ceremony in France 🇫🇷 

RSVPs ARE DUE BY: APRIL 19th, 2026 If you need help planning your trip to France, please reach out and we would gladly help! We are throwing an engagement celebration in Angers, France from June 19th-21st, 2026. We would love for you to attend! If you are able to join us, please email our hotel to reserve a room - <a href="mailto:contact@loireetsens.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">contact@loireetsens.com</a> . *Make sure to include that you are part of Abby and Alec's wedding to receive a discount. During our time together we will visit Angers, tour the castle and share in a small celebration. Feel free to stay longer if you wish. You will fly into Paris, France and take a fast train (TGV, WeGo) to Angers. This will be around 2 hours. **You can let the hotel know in advance of your arrival date and they can help organize a ride for you. ﻿You may also take a taxi or an uber to the hotel.

The day before the celebration is all about fun! We have a free bus ready to take us on some great activities. The list of activities is included below. -Un programme à se régaler la veille de la célébration! Un bus gratuit sera à votre disposition pour la journée. Au programme!- Options for the Day: 1. The Wine Cavesa. At 10:00 (10 am), we will be leaving from the hotel (Loire et Sens) to visit "les Caves de Grenelle à Saumur" by bus.i. Please arrive a few minutes ahead of time to ensure we leave on time.b. We will arrive at 10:55 (10:55 am) for our visit, which starts at 11 am.c. Appetizers and snacks will be provided, but not lunch.(make sure to eat a big breakfast at the hotel beforehand!)d. The visit will end at 12:45 (12:45 pm).e. At 13:40 (1:40 pm), we arrive back at the hotel. -10h départ de Loire et Sens pour la visite des Caves de Grenelle à Saumur.-11h visite des caves suivie d'un cocktail.(Le dejeuner n'est pas inclus dans la visite, seulement des hors d'œuvre.)-12h45 départ vers Loire et Sens. You can see the 'Things to Do in Angers' tab for a list of places to visit or choose your own excursion.ii. If you would like to join us, we will likely start by touring the Castle.c. The bus will not pick us up until 21:30 (9:30 pm), so you will have plenty of time to visit, shop, and dine in the capital of Anjou!i. Wedding Attire - casual chic (no tie) Tenue de Mariage - chic et décontractée (sans cravate) 3:30 pm - arrival at the venue connected to the hotel for the celebration beginning at 4 pm.Afterwards, we party! 15h30 - Arrivée à 15h30 pour début de la célébration à 16h00.Après on fait la fête!

Sunday, June 21st

Options for the Day:1. After breakfast, there is a traditional "après-party" from 11am to 5pm. A bus will be available to take us to the after-party location. There, we will have food and games to cap off a great weekend! It is totally optional, but we would love to see you there!2. End our fun three days with Fete de Musique - or Day of Music! The bus will be available to take us into the city of Angers. We truly recommend spending the night in Angers to experience a night of great music and performances that play out in the city streets. - 11h-17h Déjeuner et passer un bon moment ensemble à déguster et jouer!Et pour terminer ce merveilleux week-end passé ensemble, rendons-nous à la fête de la musique dans les rues d’Angers!-17h départ en bus pour AngersNous vous conseillons de prendre un hébergement sur Angers pour le dimanche soir. -
