One of Abby and Alex's first dates was at a painting class. Before this, they met at a conference in March for the Illinois Association for Floodplain and Stormwater Management. After recognizing Alex's last name as the same as her former classmate Eleni, Alex and Abby got to talking and learned they had a lot in common.

Abby enjoyed visiting Alex while he lived in Evanston. This photo was taken at a local art fair.

Abby and Alex attended several friends' and family weddings in 2023.

Nimbu and Gizmo were adopted!

Alex and Abby visited northern Michigan.

Alex proposed at the Morton Arboretum on the Big Rock, a spot they had visited on one of their first dates.

This photo is at the Channel Islands, an awesome spot they hope to return to and camp at one day.

Also in California - Abby and Alex visited Joshua Tree National Park and "scrambled" up some cool rocks. They also got really into indoor rock climbing in 2024.

Abby and Alex can't wait to celebrate with friends and family this September!
