Our Story

From Interns to Engagement

Art and I had crossed paths at the University of Alabama starting in early 2012. In January of 2013, we both moved to Atlanta for accounting internships. We happened to live in the same apartment complex! After living in Atlanta for a month, Art asked me to grab a drink after work one day that week. We were both so excited we chose Monday! We had the best time and talked for hours at the Tavern at Phipps (still one of our favorite places)! When our internship ended in March, it was time for Spring Break. I had plans to visit my aunt in Jacksonville and Art had plans to visit his family at Daytona Beach. He had invited me to come to the beach for a couple of days to meet his family before I traveled up to JAX. For some people this would have been overwhelming after a month of dating, but for me I was so excited! I was able to meet his parents, grandparents and two of his aunts and we all had a blast! I knew even then that this man and his family were special!We had moved from Atlanta back to T-town to finish our last classes before graduation and then we were off to grad school. I had decided to go to school in New Orleans and Art in Birmingham. It seemed like a lot after a short period of dating but long distance was something that we both wanted and we made it work. We had a blast exploring New Orleans and it will always have a special place in our hearts! After a year of dating long distance from Nola to Bham, we both moved to Atlanta to start our jobs where we interned. Over a year later on December 22, 2015, Art asked me to be his wife! Every year we have our own Christmas together before we head home to our families in Huntsville and Birmingham. The ring was wrapped and was the final gift I opened. I was in shock when he opened it and inside was my mother's engagement ring that I have wanted since I was a little girl!We have been on so many adventures together, but we're ready for our greatest adventure yet! We can't wait to share it with each of you!#MarryMeMajors

    Morgan is Abbye's bestie! Abbye and Morgan met in Computer Science class at Alabama in 2009. They were also sorority sisters and roommates during college. They haven't lived in the same city since college, but they make sure to catch up every
    week, sometimes every day!
    


Morgan Lowry

Tommy is Art's older brother, best friend, and best man. They are only a year and a half apart in age and have always been inseparable. Tommy is a lawyer at The Majors Law Firm in Birmingham, AL. Tommy and his fiancé, Kristen, will be married in July.

Anna is Abbye's Sister in Law.&nbsp;Anna and Abbye met&nbsp;in 2010 when Drew (Abbye's brother) and Anna started dating. She is always the life of the party!

Anna Davenport

Tom is Art's dad and best man. Art has always looked to his dad as a role model. Tom loves the outdoors and has hiked the John Muir trail in California the last 2 years.


Tom Majors

Tim is Art's younger brother. Tim is always making everyone laugh. Tim and his wife, Kriztel, currently live in Starkville, MS while he finishes school at Mississippi State University.

Riley is Abbye's high school bestie! Abbye and Riley were inseparable in high school and roommates freshman year at Alabama. They have shared so many memories together over the years.

Shelby is Abbye's workout buddy, good friend and coworker! Since starting work at Deloitte in 2014, Shelby and Abbye have seen Fifth Harmony in Atlanta, seen Britney Spears in Vegas, ran a 5k and half marathon together. Shelby also helped Abbye pick
    out her wedding dress in Atlanta.

Shelby Danner

John is Art's youngest brother. He enjoys hiking, playing his guitar, and reading.&nbsp;John currently lives in Birmingham, AL and is in undergrad at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

John Majors

Drew is Abbye's brother and Art's future brother in law. Although they are 8 years apart, Abbye and Drew are very close. Drew and his wife, Anna, recently moved back to Huntsville, AL with their dog, Gunner.

Drew Davenport

Sydney is Abbye's close&nbsp;friend from college and neighbor in Atlanta! They had almost every Accounting class together and were roommates during their internship in Atlanta. Abbye credits Sydney for introducing her to Art during their internship (Thanks
    Syd)!


Sydney Newman

Art and Chris were pledge brothers in Lambda Chi Alpha and roommates for 3 years while at the University of Alabama. Art was a groomsmen in Chris's wedding last year.&nbsp;Chris and his wife,&nbsp;Emily,&nbsp;currently live in Fort Worth, TX.

Chris Milliken

Abbye and Hayley have known each other since 6th grade! They became close friends when they both pledged Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Alabama in 2009. They have stayed close over the years and see each other when they can.

Hayley Poe

Michael and Art have been friends&nbsp;since they were in&nbsp;Kindergarten. They have remained close friends over the years through&nbsp;church, football, and school. Michael currently lives in Birmingham, AL.

Michael Nordyke

Allison and Abbye have known each other since 2008. After pledging Theta in 2009, they became close friends. They have been on endless adventures together from Spring Breaks to Alabama games to date parties!

Allison Terry

Daniel and Art have been best friends since high school, and both graduated from the University of Alabama. They&nbsp;have been on many adventures over the years and have remained&nbsp;great friends.

Beeson and Abbye have been friends since her family moved in next door to my family. Beeson is the little sister that Abbye never had and is so thankful for her family. They have known each other for almost 21 years!
