As self described, the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum is located in the historic William Scarbrough House. Built in 1819, the house is a significant landmark in Savannah’s history as Scarbrough was the lead investor in the SS Savannah, the first steamship to cross any ocean. The museum features the largest private gardens within Savannah’s historic district, designed to reflect a typical 19th-century parlor garden (and is a great place to throw a kick-ass party). If you would like to explore the inside of the museum they are open everyday from 10:00AM to 5:00PM.

Weather permitting, we will be spending as much time outdoors as possible. The Welcome Party and Celebration will take place outdoors. There will be shade accessible during all events and the evening may be cooler in Savannah, so please make sure you wear sunscreen and dress accordingly.

We recommend a jacket or sport coat (no tie necessary) or t-length/floor-length dress or jumpsuit. Feel free to lean into the “garden” part of Garden Party and opt for light colors, florals, or whatever makes you feel like springtime! Please note that we will be primarily outdoors, so wedges over stilettos, and don’t forget the sunscreen. And again, don’t forget layers!

We recommend a button down and slacks; jacket, no tie; dress of any length; or a romper/jumpsuit. Once again, we’ll be outdoors after sunset, so we recommend bringing a layer or two.
