Abi and Brandon both attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, and met their senior year of college in 2020 at the Pizza Pipeline bar. The two crossed paths during one of the usual Pizza Pipeline Trivia nights; Abi was there with her lacrosse friends, who also happened to be friends with Brandon. Brandon and Abi were paired up on the same trivia team along with their other friends. For Brandon, it was love at first sight…for Abi, not so much!
Brandon went home and asked his friends (Abi’s teammates) to put in a good word for him with Abi. When they talked to Abi, she said she wasn't interested in a boyfriend. But Brandon's friends forgot to relay that message! The next day, Abi and Brandon hung out again, and they were inseparable from that day on. It helped that they lived directly across the street from each other and essentially had a 2-month-long spring break.
They had their first official date in March of 2020, specifically, the day after COVID shut the world down. Brandon had to improvise; he turned his college house into a 5-star restaurant and had his friends role-play as hosts, waiters, sommeliers, and even chefs! After college, Abi and Brandon moved to the western side of Washington. Abi’s first job entailed working swing shift hours, and Brandon would stay up until 3 in the morning when Abi got off work so that he could spend time with her, even though he had to work at 8 am the next day. In June of 2022 Abi and Brandon bought a house in Bonney Lake, WA. That October of 2022 was a busy month for the couple as they got engaged in Spokane (where they first met) during Gonzaga Alumni weekend, and then a few weeks later, adopted their dog, Oreo.
