Abi and Bailey met for the very first time while on their orientation for their first nursing job. One day, while Bailey was walking around the unit with his preceptor, Abi was trying to put some waffle boots on a patient during her first week as a nurse. He walked into the room as he noticed she could not figure out how to apply these boots at all and was struggling greatly. Bailey walked up to her and asked if she needed help, and Abi nervously laughed and said yes, as she secretly thought he had been working there for years and was an experienced nurse. He told her “It’s just Velcro” and showed her how to make them work. Little did she know it was his first week too and he was just as new as she was.

Later on in orientation, Bailey smoothly created a group message adding all the orientees including Abi. Somehow Abi got bumped out of the group message, and Bailey quickly messaged her separately to ask why she wasn’t in there on anymore. Somehow, he also got her got Snapchat and messaged her a good bit that way too. One day, Bailey asked Abi if she wanted to go out sometime and get dinner together. Bailey and Abi went out for their first date at Taco Mama in Homewood, and they talked about the future they wanted, and found that they were aligned in many ways. Bailey gave her a really good hug at the end that she still thinks about to this deal that sealed the deal for her.

Fast forward four years later in February of 2025, Bailey and Abi decided to go on a romantic trip to the Biltmore in North Carolina. Bailey proposed to Abi right in front of the Biltmore mansion after Bailey kept missing many turns being so nervous that day. They will celebrate 5 years together in 2026 and will be married July of this year and look forward to a lifetime together of adventure, happiness, and love. They look forward to seeing everyone on their special wedding day this year and seeing what God has in store for their lives together!
