Our beautiful love story all began on a classic blind triple date…well a half blind triple date. Caleb was in the know and Abby was walking right into a trap. Kyle Eger, Sophie Schroth (soon to be Eger), Kennon Maurer, Kenzie Maurer, and Caleb schemed for Abby to come over to his place for a dinner and game night on January 6th 2023. Carne asada chicken + steak inside gourmet chipotle bowls started the night off right. It ended with games and talks of a hopeful second hang out. That second hang out turned out to be a snowboarding day the following weekend. Abby wanted snowboarding lessons and Caleb was more than happy to teach. An innocent day on the mountain turned into 4 whiplash concussions for Abby’s first day. A brutal long recovery was hard for some but for Caleb it just meant filling his time with care packages, cooking dinners, and taking care of his new crush. Our romantic first date was Caleb taking Abby to her MRI appointment and once she finally started feeling better than the scheming quickly progressed. Caleb pursued and pursued and got the okay to date Abby from her dad making it official on February 10th. Caleb proposed on a beautiful snowy day in Lake Chelan on December 9th surprising Abby completely with family coming from Spokane and her youngest sister Ellie flying in from Texas. It was the most beautiful day and on July 7, 2024 we get to join in the covenant of marriage and can’t wait to celebrate this wonderful journey together.
