Should you feel overwhelmed booking a hotel, here are a few options near our venue. I have never stayed at any of these locations however, after constantly booking hotels on tour, I have developed a knack for weeding out bad options. I hope these recommendations help you out.
ALWAYS read reviews before you book and make sure you check out the drive time to the venue! Listed below are three different levels of price and comfort ranges so you can find the place that is coziest for you.
This hotel is highly rated on Hotels.com and is just 13 minutes from Bella Gardens! It is a reasonable price for the quality/ratings of the hotel and it's super close to the venue. If I was traveling from out of town, this is where I would stay.
Should you be looking for a cheaper option and are willing to drive a little bit further, this hotel might be for you. Although this option is 42 minutes from the venue, it is located in my personal favorite part of North Carolina, Matthews. Matthews is the historic district of Charlotte and is home to some incredible restaurants and coffee shops. If you stay here you must drop by Brakeman's coffee shop!
If you're looking for a luxury weekend out of town and want to stay in the heart of uptown Charlotte this hotel is for you. Top of the line, clean, and highly rated. I would probably never stay here due to the cost but you do you homie and have a blast! (Note: this hotel is 56 minutes from the venue because nothing fancy is located in Albemarle NC)
Should you have the time, here are a few fun things to do near the venue. Although, if this is your first time visiting North Carolina I would highly recommend making the drive to Uptown Charlotte and checking out the city for yourself!
Fun fact: our venue is just down the road from Morrow Mountain State Park. Should you have the time you might enjoy doing a nature hike, kayaking on the river, or even taking a swim in the park's pool!
One of Albemarle NC's hottest summer spots is the Drive-In Theater. I have no idea what will be playing while you are in town, but it's usually worth packing some snacks and cozy blankets for a sweet date night!
Not my favorite tasting coffee but hands down my favorite coffee shop vibe. Located in the heart of Matthews this sweet little shop is dedicated to helping the busy city take a breather and slow down.
Best NY pizza... Actually I prefer this place to all the pizza I have had in NYC (yes including Artichokes). Ask for a window seat and try the Basil Mozzarella and for goodness sakes remove the balsamic glaze. Who the heck orders pizza with balsamic vinegar? GA-RA-OSS. Seriously though I really do love this pizza.
Extremely cute Mediterranean & Lebanese cuisine. We go here so often that my mom is on a first name basis with the owner who is dedicated to making his restaurant food as authentic to his home as possible. The Chicken Shawarma Slaps y'all.
Southern food crafted to perfection, you can't go wrong with this place. A really fancy dining experience (only for the bougie) Haberdish is located in NODA which is the art district here in Charlotte. This is on the higher end scale of dining, but the food is masterful.
Fancy Shmancy place with o-k food but the best dining experience you will ever have. The whole place reminds me of Mount Olympus from Percy Jackson and not to mention a fav as this is where Alex took me the night he proposed.
