We had met in passing a few times before, all of which succumbed to the "wrong place, wrong time". But this was the first time we really got to know each other. This is likely our first photo together (shout out drag brunch)!

After that fateful trip to D.C. to visit friends, we now had definitely hit the right place and the right time. Some early dates included zoos, beaches, ghost tours, and a total disregard to our sleep schedules.

Full of love and feeling chaotic (as most of our decision making goes), we took a spontaneous trip to Ireland together. It was, as I’m sure you can guess, chaotic - full of ups and downs. But we had plenty of good beer and delicious food. Plus we learned a lot! Mostly about each other but also about how bad Irish bottled water is.

Not much longer after one quick decision, we made another. Lucky for us we managed to move in together right before Covid and spent a lot of those first few months of 2020 excitedly dreaming up what our life in the city would be like (much to our dismay).

When we moved in together of course our cats came along with us. It was definitely not as fun for them as us, but over time they've learned to tolerate each other! Specifically when it comes dinner time

Through a global pandemic (and very many hairstyles), we’ve always tried to make the best of our wild, frenzied, oftentimes stressful lives. We’ve grown in life, and in love, continuing to support each other along the way.

Since the summer of 2019, we’ve made camping a yearly tradition as it includes both of our favorite things. Abby gets to spend most of the time sitting around and Kate gets to look at bugs. That first year we took things a little easy (mostly for Kate’s sake) but as time went on we’re now seasoned experts.

After five years of dating, we got engaged. Abby’s proposal to Kate included going for a walk, sitting on the ground, and Kate promptly using her new ring to ask a wooly bear caterpillar to marry them. Kate’s proposal to Abby included her sick on the couch with covid, and take-out vegan mac and cheese. We’re nothing if not on brand.

We’re very excited to be getting married and we're so happy to have everyone we love there to celebrate our love with us!
