Daniel and Abby’s story is a beautiful testament to the sovereignty and goodness of God. Their journey began all the way back in seventh grade, when Daniel decided to join the cross country team. We can thank Rustin for that! Though they shared nearly all the same classes that year, they remained strangers, yet God was knitting their paths together long before they even realized it.

By eighth grade, Daniel and Abby found themselves in the same friend group. Then, in ninth grade, when Abby was nominated to the homecoming court, she asked Daniel to be her escort. Through the simple planning of that event, God began something extraordinary. They started talking more often, and a sweet friendship began to blossom into something deeper.

Daniel soon learned, though not from Abby, that she was not allowed to date until she turned 16 which was a year and a half away. Wishing to honor her parent's wishes, Daniel chose patience and waited faithfully until her sixteenth birthday to ask her to be his girlfriend. That decision marked the beginning of a Christ-centered relationship rooted in respect, commitment, and love.

As high school drew to a close, they faced the reality of attending colleges in different cities—Daniel pursuing finance at Ole Miss and Abby chasing her dream of aviation at Delta State. Once again, God proved faithful. Through four years of long-distance, countless road trips for football games, cross country races, birthdays, celebrations, and everything in between, their bond only deepened. They truly became best friends.

Daniel proposed on October 3rd, 2025 in the most thoughtful way and in the most beautiful place- Smith Lake Alabama and surrounded by those dearest to them. Abby was overjoyed!

Daniel and Abby rest in the fact that it is only by God’s grace that their relationship has stood the test of time. From two 14-year-olds to two young adults, they have walked side by side, guided by the faithful hand of a loving Father.

What a gift it is to serve a God who delights in giving good things to His children—gifts as rich and meaningful as love, friendship, and covenant. Daniel and Abby know they are undeserving, yet deeply grateful. To God alone be the glory.
