John is a 24 year old ICU RN who graduated from Bob Jones University in 2018

Abby is a 24 year old BSN student who is graduating from BJU in May of 2020, a mere 8 days before the wedding takes place

John and I met way back in 10th grade, as little baby sophomore students. Abby was providing some tutoring for English students, and John happened to be one of them. They started out as friends, then became inseparable as the year wore on. By the end of the school term, somehow word had gotten around to John that Abby might be interested in a little more than friendship. The rest, as they say, is history. By the time they get married, John and Abby will have been together for nearly 10 years.

Eventually, John and Abby worked out that it would be pretty fun to spend the rest of their lives together. John decided to make that secret hope into a reality on March 21st, 2018. He took Abby out to watch the sunset on Bald Rock, and right before the sun went down, he started a speech. March 21st is actually John's birthday, but he has never been one to celebrate it. He started explaining that from now on, he wanted to be able to celebrate March 21st, but not as his birthday. Instead, he wanted to celebrate it as the anniversary of their engagement. He knelt down, and it was only then that Abby put two and two together and realized she was in the middle of a proposal. She was speechless for a few minutes (an astonishing feat for those who know her) and finally said yes when her senses returned.
