We are aiming to have the ceremony end by 3 pm but there are a few options to keep you occupied while you wait for the party to start! 1. Explore The Thayer Hotel. For those who have never been, The Thayer Hotel was built in 1926 and is worth a walk around the grounds. Next to the lobby there is MacArthur's Riverview Restaurant if you want a bite to eat, and General Patton's tavern where you could get the party started with a cocktail! For those who are staying the night, you can check into your room and get ready for the reception. 2. West Point Academy is just past the second guard gate. You do need advanced approval but the application office is right before The Thayer. There is beautiful Trophy Point for pictures and a gorgeous campus to explore.

Traditionally, 'Black Tie attire' is tuxedos for men and floor length gowns for women. However, we do not expect anyone to spend extra money for our wedding day to dress for the event so please do not feel obligated to rent or buy anything new. For men, a suit would be appropriate and ladies can wear cocktail dresses. We do want everyone to feel and look their best though so please dress to impress for the big day!
