While our love story didn't start until Spring of 2018, we first met after track practice fall of 2014 while we were on our way to dinner. He introduced himself as Scobee and we were teammates/friends for the next 3 years running in the same circles.

After Nick graduated from SAU in 2017, he was still in the Quad Cities area and decided help coach SAU high jump for the 2018 season. Nick ran high jump practice at the same time as Abby made the new wellness center a place to study after dinner. Coincidentally, they ended around the same time and they made it a habit to walked back to their car and townhouse together.

We had many side adventures in Davenport. Going to weddings, running local races, baseball games, and of course visiting all of the beer gardens.

Throughout the next couple of years, we visited each other as much as our schedules would allow us. Between Nick traveling back and forth from Boston to Davenport and Abby's school schedule left them to see each other during winter, spring, and summer breaks.

During spring break of 2020, Covid shut down the country and turned all of our lives upside down. Abby's classes went online and she moved back home. Nick's traveling stopped and started working from home more than before. After a month or two of quarantine, Abby finished up her Masters degree and was looking for full time jobs in the Boston area. They both agreed that this would be the best time to move in together. So Abby packed her bags and moved in with Nick.
