Cameron and Abby met at their shared summer job in June of 2020! Cameron being from Stilwell and Abby from Tahlequah, they shared many experiences and interests. They exchanged snapchats, as 18 year olds do, and formed a friendship outside of work. Prior to that summer, Cameron had joined the army, graduated high school, completed his time at Basic Training, and graduated AIT as a Blackhawk mechanic for The Army National Guard...
Meanwhile, Abby had just graduated high school. They each planned to attend different universities the coming fall, which meant their friendship was coming to a close. The semester passed, and they went about life separately. However, once Christmas break rolled around, Cameron returned to the area... and decided to shoot Abby a text.
Before they knew it the pair was hanging out one fateful night in November.
Cameron picked Abby up that night for their first date, where they went to Walmart, Family Video, Walgreens, Sonic... and the rest is history!
The pair became an official couple over that Christmas break and began a long-distance relationship for the next year.
Abby visited Cameron in Stillwater every chance she had, and began to love the OSU scene. Despite loving her friends at Northeastern State, Abby was discontent in her choice of college. So, since she had grown to love Stillwater and the people in it, she transferred!
Now living in the same city for the first time, the pairs relationship grew deeper. They went through many milestones together, faced a lot of bull crap, and fell deeper in love every day.
Cameron and Abby had known for a while that they wanted to be married, but struggled with the timing as broke college kids.
Anyone who knows the couple closely knows theyve made being spontaneous a habit. Just a few weeks after their Junior year, Cameron told Abby he wanted to be married as soon as possible!
Decisions were made pretty quick... Cameron asked Abigails adoptive father for permission one week, and the pair picked out their wedding rings together the next week!
Picking out rings together was such a sweet and fun moment, they wouldnt have wanted it any other way.
On June 17th, 2023, the couple was married in a ceremony filled with about fifteen of their closest family and friends.
Of course, a party is still needed;)
June 6th, 2024 will be the day Cameron and Abby renew their vows and celebrate with everyone who has supported them over the last several years! They each feel so blessed by the people who supported the rapid marriage of two 21 year olds, and for everyone helping to plan the big day!
