Jake Farris - Best Man
"Meese", "The Beast", "Sack", little (younger) bro. Unfortunately for me, he will probably always have a better beard than me, be slightly (very slightly) bigger, and likely more successful. If you know Jake, you know that he's willing to do or try anything, work extremely hard at it, never be afraid of failing, and always be himself. With all of the confidence that he does and should have, he is also probably the most thoughtful guy I know. I could not be a more proud brother and wouldn't choose anyone else to be my best man!
On a more light hearted note, Jake is always good for at least 20 "but what if, like" questions about whatever it is you're talking about. Also, don't text this guy if it's anything urgent, you won't hear back for quite a while even if you are his brother. Jake will be good for some dance moves here and there at the reception, keep an eye out. If you don't love Jake, you can just plan on not coming on June 19th!
Andrew Schiebout - Groomsman
Former elementary school enemies turned high school best friends, "Ski" and I have been close since freshman year. Ski is part of our group of friends that put some wear and tear on the Farris home throughout our high school years with our late night dunk ball and pool party gatherings, the sheer destruction of the basement, or the raiding of the however many hundreds of dollars of groceries my parents did NOT buy for me and 10 of my friends. Jokes aside, those were some of the most fun times ever, even my parents would agree! Whether it be the 40 year old man habits he's had since we were teenagers (I understand now that he was ahead of the curve), or the countless classic sayings he's given us over the years, Ski is not only very near and dear to me, but he is a Farris family favorite.
Brenton Currin - Groomsman
"Bunz", "The Bear", "Bear", etc. was also part of the hell raising friend group. Before that, our parents were friends so we had been around each other growing up, but became much closer later in life. We lived together for a couple of years after college and lived through the single/dating years together, tried to manage a household of 2 high maintenance breeds of dogs, and had plenty of nights out on the town together. Then, we got a third roommate! Guess who it was :) He's the type of friend who's down to go to Germany, LA or wherever you want to go, and you can always count on this guy to be down to golf, get a beer (beers?), or do anything that sounds like a good time - the lifelong friend type!
Shane Sipes - Groomsman
622 Hollins member. Some would say the best looking of the group, but that's certainly up for debate. Shane and I played WR together at Carroll and that's a bond only few know. All-American, Tech Torturer - google him. We also lived together in the campus apartments after we got removed/kicked out/evicted from 622, and he was gracious enough to host me a couple times visiting him in LA after college even if I did cause a clean up on aisle balcony of his apartment after a late night of over-indulgence. Also the planner of the group, always down to crush beers with the boys, and all around great friend. Shane's the second of the group who gets married, so be sure to tell him and his better half congrats!
Luke Gleasman - Groomsman
622 Hollins member (and fellow campus apartments roommate). Arguably the Dad of the group, even if Zach is already a father. He is one of those guys that can go somewhere once and remember how to get there for the rest of his life. Always gets us to where we need to go. A beast of an athlete, he played a couple of different positions in football and ended our college careers as our center and a damn good one! Luke grew up in a smaller town in Washington, so throughout our years together you can imagine he taught me a thing or two, although I tried to mimic his fire starting technique when he was gone one night and that did not go well. Ask one of the boys about my idiocy. The bail you out of jail at 3am type of friend. Luke is a hell of a friend and 100% man.
Jack McIntyre - Groomsman
622 Hollins member. Not up for debate, the most fun guy in the group. It may be cliche to say, but if you can't find him at the wedding, a good guess is gonna be the dance floor. Jack can talk to anyone about anything, is a great story teller, and has impeccable knowledge about sports teams, their mascots, and what high school those player's dad's great-uncle went to. Jack was a fellow offensive bro, a Stallion. Think about it. We both love to golf, and often prior to boys trips talk about how good we're getting at golf to only absolutely suck on said trip (this is actually mostly me). Don't tell the rest, but Jack is also probably Abby's favorite 622 friend of mine because he's... well, Jack. Couldn't ask for a better college roommate or lifelong friend. If you don't love this guy, you can RSVP "no" to the wedding.
Zach Hanser - Groomsman
622 Hollins member. "Big Z." The literal Dad of the group. Zach and his wife Molly had their first baby boy, Gabe, in 2024 beating the rest of us to both marriage and fatherhood. Also the wittiest guy of the group, and the first to always call you out about some dumb sh*t you do or say, which everyone needs, and I probably need a lot of. Zach was in bulk mode most of our friendship in college (his commitment to protein shakes was admirable). Came to Carroll as a safety, and bulked his way up into the front 7. Also pretty buckets from 3. Great athlete, super nerd (eye doctor), and even better lifelong friend. This guy is going to get a lot of questions about Dad advice in the coming years.
Tyler Matteucci - Groomsman
622 Hollins member. "Teucci" (too-see). This guy can get loose - see if you can solve that riddle. Tyler was a fellow upstairs bro at 622 along with Luke and I. He taught me a dance move that will never get you in trouble, which was super helpful for me and my lack of dancing skill - look out for it if we get any unce-unce music going. Tyler was on the same pre-college football visit to Carroll that I was, and all I have to say is my dad walked out of our route running session and said man, that kid was a good athlete. He played LB. Incredible facial hair growing skills (probably a mustache), also a super nerd (pharmacist), and a guy you would want with you if you got into a bar fight. Another couldn't-ask-for-better lifelong friend.
Sydni Farris - Maid of Honor
The first time I met Sydni was right before a night out with a bunch of Joe’s college buddies — strangers everywhere, awkward small talk happening, you know the vibe. Somehow, within five minutes of knowing each other, we decided to drive back together to get ready like longtime besties on a mission. Syd welcomed me with open arms (and probably wondered what she’d gotten herself into), and since then, she’s basically been the sister I never knew I desperately needed.
Over the years, she’s become way more than just “family by marriage” — she’s one of my closest friends, my partner in crime, and the person who somehow makes life funnier and more manageable. Honestly, I feel insanely lucky to have her by my side today... and pretty much every day, whether we’re talking the latest tea or just binge-watching Netflix in sweatpants.
Here’s to Sydni
Jessika Twiss - Matron of Honor
Growing up with Jessika was pure, chaotic magic — the kind of adventure that usually ended in either glitter, bruises, or someone yelling “MOMMMM!” Whether we were catching bugs in the backyard (for fun, apparently), filming music videos like we were destined for MTV, stealing each other’s clothes, or that unforgettable moment when she dumped a full bowl of cereal on my head over a remote control battle — my childhood highlight reel is basically just scenes of us being wild and slightly unhinged.
She was the best partner in crime a kid could ask for — a built-in big sister who kept things interesting and dramatic at all times. And now, Jessika has officially leveled up and become a mom! I couldn’t be prouder — she’s already crushing it, obviously. I can’t wait to dive into full “mom life” chaos with her… matching sweatsuits, caffeine for me, green tea for her, and all the snacks our kids will definitely steal from us.
Erika Rogers - Bridesmaid
Erika is my oldest sister and role model — Growing up, one of my biggest questions was always: How do I read like Erika reads?? I swear she came out of the womb with a book in hand and a Goodreads account. Even though we’ve hit life’s milestones at different times, she’s been a constant source of wisdom, support, and unsolicited but usually spot-on advice. No matter what stage of chaos I’m in, Erika’s the one I turn to — she’s like my personal Siri, but with more emotional depth and fewer glitches.
Jenna Sauer - Bridesmaid
I met Jenna on our very first night of college at a classic house party — the kind where you don’t know anyone, but suddenly you're best friends with a stranger holding a red Solo cup. We instantly clicked, even though I was convinced she was at least a junior (spoiler: she wasn't, she just had main character energy). We spent the night playing games and soaking in the chaos that is freshman life, blissfully unaware of the homework avalanche to come.
During my time in Hawaii, Jenna became my go-to person — my rock, my therapist, my hype woman — basically the whole support staff rolled into one. Whether it was navigating life’s drama or deciding which snack to buy at the gas station, she was always there. Even when life pulled us into different states and wildly different schedules, our friendship has stayed solid — like Wi-Fi in a good Airbnb: reliable and still strong, even across the country.
Jenna is an amazing wife, a top-tier friend, and honestly, way too good for most humans. I’m beyond thankful for her — and for that random house party that brought us together!
Hope Habina - Bridesmaid
I met Hope on the very first day of freshman year — and little did I know, I had just met my college soulmate. We somehow ended up in every class together, which basically meant we were academically and emotionally attached at the hip for the entire first year. You couldn’t find one of us without the other — we were like a buddy system, but with more coffee and less direction.
Life eventually took us in different directions, but despite time and distance, Hope has stayed one of those rare, ride-or-die, lifelong friends. She’s the kind of person who pushes you to be your best self — while also fully supporting your decision to eat cake for dinner and ignore your adult responsibilities. We can go months without talking and then jump on a call like, “So anyway, where were we?” Zero awkwardness, just vibes.
Basically, everyone needs a Hope... but sorry, this one’s mine.
Jaydyn Kuhlman - Bridesmaid
I met Jay during one of our classic “let’s hit downtown” nights with the crew — you know, the kind of night that starts with dinner and ends with questionable dance moves and a group selfie we’ll pretend not to remember. One of my favorite things about our family/friend group is that we’re basically a package deal. If you see one of us, just wait five minutes — the rest are probably double-parking out front. We roll deep.
Jay instantly felt like family — the fun, hilarious cousin you didn’t know you needed. Even though she no longer lives in Boise (rude), we still talk every single day and manage to see each other whenever we can, whether it’s a holiday or a girls’ trip to Cali that involves too much caffeine and a suspicious number of matching outfits.
There’s never a dull moment with Jaydyn. Catch that girl on the dance floor — and good luck keeping up!
Allie Schiebout - Bridesmaid
My friendship with Allie started because of Joe and Andrew (thanks, guys), but it quickly evolved into its own beautiful thing — basically, we realized we liked each other more than we liked tagging along with the boys. From countless double dates to major life milestones, baby Nash cuteness overload, and all things girly (Fashion and deep talks in sweatpants), our bond has only gotten stronger.
Allie is truly one of the strongest, kindest, most genuine people I know. I honestly don’t know how she does it all while still looking that good. I feel incredibly lucky to call her a friend... and let’s be real, Nash and Andrew hit the jackpot.
Grace Holt - Bridesmaid
Grace is the latest (and arguably greatest) addition to our family — 10/10, would recommend. I officially met her over holiday break when she came to visit the Beast and the Farris fam, and we clicked right off the bat obviously.
When she decided to move to Idaho after college, I basically did a happy dance — more hangouts, less "when is Grace coming to town??"
Usually, Syd and I are each other’s fashion consultants, but now we’ve got Grace in the mix, and thanks to her we all having matching purses!!(;
And yes, I am extremely jealous that I don’t get to live with Syd and Grace. The FOMO is real.
