Black Tie Optional
-All guests are encouraged to wear black.
-Men are encouraged to wear a black suit or black tuxedo.
-Women are encouraged to wear long black dresses.
-Guests should fly into Lisbon Airport (LIS), which is conveniently located about 25 minutes from the hotel. Uber or Bolt from the airport is very easy. You can also set pick up through the resort.
-Most affordable plane tickets will typically be posted 4-8 months in advance.
ETIAS travel authorization will be needed in 2027 to travel to Europe. It is suggested to get these towards the end of 2026. https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias
Lisbon has the EES system that requires finger prints, this can make customs slightly longer. We got through in 35 minutes when we arrived.
-When leaving Portugal make sure to give yourself an extra hour to go through all of the checks in the airport.
Room Block Coming Soon
You can choose to get a room, villa, or suite. Most will stay at the Kimpton Quinta da Marinha Hotel, but the villas and boutique hotel are also on property and are great options for bigger groups traveling together.
-Booking.com has rooms sometimes for cheaper, if you chose to book this way that is okay, but the resort cannot promise that you will be near other guests rooms and the discount code will not work for these. Please still email the resort and let them know you are a part of Abbey & Will's wedding.

Where to Eat & Drink
• Grelhas- Our favorite right next to the resort and Welcome Party, overlooking the coast.
• Nicolas- Our favorite brunch spot, this one is a little farther away, but worth it!
• Marisco na Praça - Marina de Cascais- best seafood and places to try traditional Portugal dishes. Another we loved!
• Forte da Guincho – Michelin-star dining with dramatic ocean views
• Mar do Inferno – Classic seafood spot overlooking the water.
• Baía do Peixe – Fresh, locally sourced seafood in the heart of Cascais
• Hemingway Cascais – Great cocktails and sunset views over the marina
• Palácio Estoril Bar – Elegant cocktails in a historic luxury hotel
• Gelatto Truck next to Guia Lounge- closes at 7:00pm.
Culture & Charming Towns
• Cascais Historic Center – Boutique shopping, tiled streets, and beautiful architecture.
• Cidadela de Cascais – Historic fortress with galleries, cafés, and ocean views
• Parque Marechal Carmona – Lush park ideal for a quiet afternoon stroll
Easy Day Trips- we suggest these on Friday and Saturday before the events.
• Sintra (20–25 min) – Fairytale palaces, castles, and romantic gardens. Get your tickets for the castles in advance. Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira are a must.
• Lisbon (25–30 min) – Very city, shopping, viewpoints, with a ton of history. Look into where to eat, there are a lot of touristy places that are okay. Highly suggest a food tour through Carpe Diem- request Maya. Discount Code: Maya20
