It was November of 2019, mere months before the world would quite literally, shut down for years. Abby had found herself living alone & thought she'd revisit the online dating scene. She stumbled on the profile of a cute guy, on a beach, with a dog and swiped right immediately.

Mike was wishing he was living alone and very much tired of the online dating scene but went on one last date before deleting the apps and taking a much-needed break from dating.

A few drinks & cheesesteak pierogis at Lucky Dog (RIP) and he was able to convince this Delco girl that she would be fine driving to the city (Manayunk) safely for a second date. After the initial 'get to know you' step, they had to figure out a way of surviving the pandemic. Realizing that not seeing each other until this “flu” blew over wasn’t going to work, they closed off their bubbles to the rest of the world to join bubbles & keep their circle small.

Mike ditched the roommate, bought a house, & patiently waited for the right time to ask Abby to move in. She took the big step in May 2022. It took a few months, but she now considers herself a Manayunk parking expert. They spent the year walking main street, enjoying dinners & festivals, and having long chats about what their future will look like.

Mike popped the question in April 2023 in Clearwater, FL. It was the perfect 30th birthday surprise for Abby. They are both thrilled to marry one-another & celebrate their big day with friends & family in Cape May, a deeply special place to them both.
