In January, Nathan took us to Port City Chop House in Wilmington, NC for our first date. Afterwards, we walked the beach for hours.

We decided it was time to meet each other's family. I threw Nathan into the deep-end and invited him to meet my entire family all at one time during our Easter celebration. No surprise, he quickly won everyone over and never missed a beat. Nathan took me to meet his parents in LaGrange, where he showed me his home town and met lots of his friends at a bonfire.

We adopted a puppy together during my Spring Semester Exams. After I saw a heart-wrenching Facebook post, I convinced Nathan to ride with me to Jacksonville, NC at 9 pm to pick up this puppy-who is now known as our precious baby, Fisher.

Our love of travel and beaches began with our first of many trips to Florida. There is a really good story about Nathan going missing off the beach- you should ask him about it!

Many of Nathan's stories are from his favorite yearly event, the Mud Bash. He insisted on taking me and we had a blast. There was so much mud and we even camped in his mom's Tahoe.

During the summer of 2022, I moved to Atlanta (on Nathan's birthday) to participate in an externship at Children's Hospital of Atlanta. He surprised me halfway through the summer, braving the ATL heat and traffic to take me hiking, to the aquarium, and for amazing sushi. This is true love!!

In December of 2022, I graduated college with my BSN nursing degree (Nathan should have received one too for putting up with the crazy!) Nathan was right by my side the entire weekend and surprised me with a giant bouquet of my favorite flowers.

Let's move to Durham! I moved to Durham, NC to start my dream job as a Pediatric Nurse at Duke University Hospital. We burned up I-40 back and forth from Wilmington to Durham!

Throughout the next year, it became more evident that we were meant to be together forever. During the summer, Nathan secured blessings from my parents and then planned a surprise proposal with their help and (our now Matron of Honor) Lettie Tucker, to pull off the sweetest proposal in the front acreage of our home. And I said YES!

Nathan moved to Durham, NC. He has started a brand new position as a mechanic. We have recently been exploring all of the Triangle.
