This is a story of how two people with many similarities lived just on the outskirts of each other until they finally found one another. Dylan grew up in a house on Liza Lane. One street behind him, was where Abby lived for a large part of her childhood. The two would meet a few times when the neighborhood children would cross paths or play together, but a friendship had yet to begin. Through middle and high school, Dylan and Abby yet again found themselves in each other's paths, though just outside of one another's circle of friends. As they passed each other in the halls, they would greet each other and both think to themselves, "They're kind of cute...". It wasn't until after graduating high school however, that the two would become friends. Feeling a bit on the introverted side, Abby decided to search for a friend and went to scrolling through people on her Facebook page. She came across Dylan and thought, "He always had a cool vibe to him... I bet we could be friends". She sent him a message saying that she was looking for friends and wanted to know if he was interested. He said yes and their friendship had begun. Over the next five years they would become best friends; going on trips together, hanging out, and talking everyday. About a year into this friendship, Abby realized she had developed a bit of a crush on Dylan and told him so. Caught off guard, Dylan didn't know how to respond. Abby dropped it, and the two remained friends for the next four years. Abby's crush on Dylan grew immensely in this time, but she was scared to let Dylan know... At this point, Abby no longer had a crush. She was falling head over heels for Dylan. Their friendship changed as they both were realizing their feelings for one another. Friends and family would start asking if they were in a relationship and waited for the day when the two would finally respond with "yes". That day came at the end of May in 2020 when Dylan finally told Abby his feelings for her. Their relationship never ceased to include adventures, fun, and lots of love and laughter. On July 22nd, 2023, Dylan came to Abby's house with red roses and sushi. Abby thought he was just being sweet, but when Dylan pulled a ring box out of the roses and got down on his knee... she realized that her biggest dream was coming true. Dylan was asking her to marry him. Abby never thought that she would feel this way about anyone. Never thought that she could love someone so deeply that she would want to spend the rest of her life with them. That was, until Dylan. The couple is over the moon as they plan their future together, and cannot wait to share the excitement with their friends and family.
