Once upon a time, on a warm September night at Buckley Hall in 2016, two UConn freshmen passed each other in the hallway... each glanced at the other, did the awkward 'I don't know you but I'm new here' half smile, and went on their merry way.

About a week later, those two freshmen found themselves in adjacent seats in Psych 1001. And a month or so later, they studied for the midterm together... much to Abigail's chagrin as Andrew is one of those "doesn't study yet is a high achiever" types. Studying obviously went well as neither of them scored above a 60%.

The end of the semester crept in and A&A found themselves cramming for the final (though they smartly asked some other classmates to join the study group this time). On the day of the final, it was blustery cold and the two jogged to the classroom to stay somewhat warm; both convinced they were going to fail. After a long final exam, Andrew convinced Abigail to trek over the ice on mirror lake to explore the little island in the middle. It was a moment of juvenile fun that Abigail would have never indulged in on her own.

Flashforward 1 year later and those freshmen, both of whom passed Psych 1001, are now sophomores. Andrew even added a major in Psych - Abigail absolutely did not. Abigail is the secretary of the Mock Trial team and someone (ahem) joins mock trial under the guise of an interest in the law, but actually to spend some more time with her. Abigail hasn't got a clue.

It's now post-Halloween season, 2017, and A&A have what some may try to call their first date - the UConn Men's Ultimate Frisbee Team Annual Formal. Andrew is an avid plastic thrower and some of you know that he now loves a good round of disc golf.

Flashforward again (I know, hang on, we're almost there), now its December and Andrew has an extra ticket to the Jon Bellion concert in Manhattan. Guess who he asks to join him? Abigail! Guess who doesn't realize it's a date. Abigail!

Enter - Abigail's mom - who always tells it like it is. It's the morning after the concert, Andrew left to head home, and mother LaFontan looks Abigail up and down and asks, "why aren't you dating him?".

The rest, well, its history.

From the beginning of 2018 to now, A&A have tackled so much together. Each graduated from UConn with Honors, then graduated from Boston College Law School, passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam, and started their careers as attorneys at the age of 25. They are also both avid travelers and foodies. After the bar exam, A&A spent three weeks eating their way through the Austrian Alps, Salzburg, and the Czech Republic. They then adopted their first cat, a little orange chatterbox named Fanta! On the horizon is a honeymoon to St. Lucia, a little buddy for Fanta, and many, many more adventures after that.
