Our story beginning differs depending on who you ask. Clayton will claim that our story began the day I went in to have a meeting discussing my employment at Freddys in Conway. His version of events were the following.
It all started when you walked in, the sun hit you perfectly as you entered the doors. I remember standing by the register when you came in, the combination of the light and that big smile was the moment I knew I had to get to know her. I just knew you were going to change my life. I just wanted to get to know you instantly, but of course no one wanted me to get to know you at that moment. That didn’t stop me. I tried really hard to be the first person they introduced you to, at last I was not but I wasn’t worried because you were going to work here. I would get to know you and fall in love with you in time. I just had to be patient.
Unfortunately for me that is not where I think the story starts because I wasn’t introduced to him then. My version of events were a little different. It all starts on my first day of working. I had moved there for school and transferred for convenience , so I knew no one on my first day. I walked in and Clayton was the first person I saw. I instantly got butterflies but I was trying to play it cool because I didn’t know why I had that feeling. I walked up to him and had the most awkward first conversation I think I’ve ever had (we laugh about it now). I was really nervous to talk to him (could you blame me) I just really wanted to make a good impression and I thought I missed my shot, but little did I know it was just the beginning.
No matter who’s version of events you choose to believe it all ends the same. We worked together more after that, and got to become friends at first. Texted more and more getting to know each other better and better. It began to feel like home to open up to each other within the first month of truly getting to know each other. After our first date we didn’t want to spend more time apart than we had to. Whether that be constantly texting, being on facetime, or simply being in our cars talking about anything and everything after our shift. We got excited everytime we were given more time with each other in person.
Fortunately for us the butterflies and the excitement to see and spend time with each other never ended. Now it will truly never end for us, as we take this next chapter together. We get to not only watch and help each other grow but we get to do it together, and we wouldn’t want it any other way! So thank you for taking the time in reading how our story began and being apart and watching how our story gets to continue on for the rest of our lives.
