Charlie and I met totally by chance—one of those "right place, right time" kind of things. I had just gotten back to his house (which he and his roommates had just recently moved into) after seeing a movie with my roommate Taylor, & his roommate Kevin (also my friend).

Here’s the funny part I found out later: Taylor and Charlie had actually grown up on the same street two doors down from one another, and Kevin lived just a few streets away from them. So basically, the stars had been casually aligning without me knowing for years.

After playing game of beer pong (as one does on a casual Wednesday), Charlie and I got to talking in the kitchen - and I felt it instantly. Like, immediate butterflies, pure giddiness, and "why is my face so warm?" level crush.

The second I left their house, I did what any mildly obsessed girl with a sudden crush would do—I went straight to Facebook to friend and stalk him. Only to discover.. we were already Facebook friends. Have been for years. And had tons of mutual friends. Who would've thought? So, I decided to shoot my shot and send an FB message that went something along the lines of " hi, you're really cute". Of course he wasted zero time replying: “so are you, you should come back over and cuddle with me'. I immediately responded to this with a "no, but you can take me on a date instead" followed by my phone number.

And just like that, the rest is history🥰
