The largest producer-only farmer’s market in the US, it wraps around the entire state capitol building and continues down State Street. You’ll find the season’s best veg­eta­bles, flow­ers, meats, cheeses, and spe­cial­ty prod­ucts. It occurs every Saturday morning April-November.

The Henry Vilas Zoo is an admission-free, AZA-accredited zoo located next to Vilas Park in downtown Madison. It has over 100 species, including polar bears, giant tortoises, and African lions.

Olbrich Botanical Gardens is a 16-acre public garden and indoor tropical conservatory. The outdoor gardens have free admission, while the indoor Bolz Conservatory has a small entry fee.
