We met in the Fall of 2021 at Pensacola Christian College. We became close friends and started hanging out in a group for most of that semester until God made it clear that we should pursue one another. After that it was a whirlwind of library dates, late-ins to our dorms, and late night calls. We officially started dating in February of 2022, and spent so much time learning and growing along side one another amid the many challenges and hurdles of the season of life we have been in. The Summer of 2022 was one that will forever be in our memories as we were able to spend so much time together with Abigail showing me around Kentucky every other weekend as God provided a job that brought me to and from Kentucky frequently. In the Fall, we went back to school where I finished my engineering degree and Abigail finished her junior year of the nursing program. The day after graduation, we got engaged on an old gun battery overlooking Pensacola Beach.
We both returned home and started our time as a long-distance relationship. I started my job as a ME at Delta ModTech and Abigail was able to work as an extern at St. Joseph's Hospital in Lexington where she gained valuable experience working with patients, other nurses, and doctors. This gave her a wonderful place to start from when she got back to school and she was able to excel in clinical this year. Despite the distance, God has used this time to grow us even closer together as we look excitedly towards June.
