Abby and Jonathan met during their freshman year at the University of Tennessee, where they lived in the same dorm. What started as a friendship turned into something they never expected. Over the next few years, they supported each other, shared laughs, and grew, never imagining that this friendship would eventually lead them to where they are today.

Before heading off to graduate school—Abby in Savannah and Jonathan in Athens—Jonathan asked her to be his girlfriend. Even with the distance, they made time to visit each other, and those trips became some of the most meaningful moments in their relationship. Once Jonathan graduated from the University of Georgia, he moved to Savannah to be with her while she finished her Master’s degree.

The proposal came next. Jonathan spent months planning the perfect moment to ask Abby to marry him during a family trip to the British Virgin Islands. Surrounded by their families, it was a day filled with joy and excitement that they will always cherish.
