Caleb and I met at Cairn University where we became quick friends due to having similar majors. Caleb’s consistent southern charm and persistence was captivating. I’ll never forget him going out of his way to introduce himself to me between classes on the first day back to school. He looked me in the eyes, shook my hand and didn’t miss a beat. Now on the other hand, Caleb remembers being wicked nervous in doing so haha, but all I remember was, “Wow, what a gentleman!”

Yet, It wasn't until our Spring semester (my Senior year and Caleb's Junior year), that the Lord hand crafted so many events to take place that we couldn’t have created ourselves even if we tried! After sharing our dreams ie. How many kids, Core values, dream home and randomly, our ideal wedding cake (we both said a donut wedding cake!!). It just felt right.

So much; that on January 12th (our first date) ended with me telling Caleb that he was THE one & that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together!! Cool story is: We prayed individually about dating and without a shadow of a doubt the Lord told me that Caleb was my person.

As I was absolutely terrified but excited (mostly terrified) I took a leap of faith and told Caleb what the Lord had placed on my heart. And here we are, a handful of months later planning our dream wedding (and yes, there will most definitely be a donut wedding cake)! Who knew after years of friendship and nothing but casual homework hangouts it would turn into our wildest dreams. The best part is, God knew all along and He’s got the rest. #HappilyEverEdman
