Graham & Abby

Our story began at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where we met as part of the same group of friends. We started dating during our sophomore year and have been inseparable ever since.

Fast forward a few years, and we took a big step together: buying our first home in July of 2024. It was the start of building a life together, filled with love, laughter, and the occasional home project adventure.

Then came the day that changed everything. In October of 2024, Graham planned a perfect date up in northern Wisconsin, where some of our favorite memories have been made. The day started with coffee at a cozy little shop and plans for a trip to the pumpkin patch. But on the way, Graham pulled off to the side of the road, casually suggesting we check out a spot for duck scouting—classic Graham, right?

As we walked toward one of our favorite hidden lakes, surrounded by the vibrant colors of fall, I started to realize this wasn’t just a typical outing. We reached a stunning lookout over the lake, and Graham turned to me with a mischievous smile and said, “We’re not actually going to the pumpkin patch.”

Instead, he pulled a blanket from his backpack and told me we were going to have a picnic and a Bible study. As we sat there, overlooking the crystal-clear waters and golden leaves, we read through passages Graham had carefully marked. It wasn’t long before I noticed a theme—all the stories were about marriage.

Afterward, as we soaked in the beauty of the moment, Graham pulled out a ring, got down on one knee, and asked me to spend forever with him. It was perfect in every way. To top it all off, Graham’s brother Preston was hidden across the lake with a camera, capturing every precious moment.
