How we met: Liam and I met at St. Mary's Star of the Sea school in 5th grade when I was the new kid in class.

The beginning of it all

Liam and I began dating when we were in 8th grade at St. Marys. As a young girl, I had always been very quite and shy while Liam was the outgoing sporty guy in the class. During our 8th grade year, Liam decided that he was going to ask me out during one of our middle school dances. That day, I had many girls come up to me and ask me what my favorite "slow" song was, and I answered Halo by Beyonce. I had no clue what was going to happen later that day, and I always assumed that the girls just wanted to know what songs people liked so we could all dance to them later. Once the dance came around after school, the first slow song was played- Halo of course. Liam asked me to slow dance and during that song he asked me to be his girlfriend. We have been dating every since 8th grade, going on 8 years. We have been able to grow and learn together while experiencing this great life. When college decision came around, we decided to not tell each other where we were going until both of us had already committed. I had applied to many colleges, while Liam already knew his top two- Gonzaga University and University of Portland. Gonzaga had never been a school that I thought I would attend, but I received so much great support from the people at Gonzaga and when I toured the campus I fell in love with it. In addition, I was able to receive many scholarships and Gonzaga was the school that made it possible for me to attend college. When we got together and told each other where we were going, we found out that we would both be heading to Gonzaga!
