Welcome to our wedding website, we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding weekend with you! We’ve created this website as a convenient place to share all wedding related information/updates. Here you will find the answers to any questions you have about our wedding weekend, plus so much more. So browse round, get pumped, and don’t forget to RSVP! Our Wedding

OUR STORY

Just like any great love story, it all began when Acacia and Alex both swiped right on Bumble. Acacia made the first move by hitting Alex with her best pickup line: “if we were socks we would make a great pair”, to which she got no response... A few weeks later, Alex finally messaged Acacia back, and after some conversation, more horrible pick up lines, and a concussion, Alex invited Acacia to a Red Sox game for their first date.&nbsp;

FIRST DATE

They met for the first time face-to-face outside of Acacia’s Brookline apartment and they immediately clicked (once they stopped laughing about the fact that Alex showed up to their first date with a black eye and a concussion). They spent the entire game, and rain delay, talking and realizing how much they had in common (like how weirdly they both eat pizza). The date went so well that when Acacia was asked by the creepy kid sitting behind her if Alex would get a second date, she immediately replied “yes!” After getting Acacia home safely, Alex went in for their first kiss. For Acacia, it was love at first sight, but for Alex , it took a little longer to realize Acacia was the one. Alex’s memories of the first date are a little vague… but he was clearly smitten. He asked Acacia out on their second date the next day, where she met some of his closest friends. They quickly became inseparable, with Alex traveling from Holliston to Brookline/Duxbury and back almost daily to see Acacia.&nbsp; Funny Story: Since Acacia had just spent over a year traveling solo, Alex wasn't sure they'd click, so he texted one of his friends who asked to meet up with them before the game and said “There’s a lot of red flags, so I’m not sure if you should meet her.”&nbsp;

IT'S OFFICIAL!

Three weeks after the first date, they went out to see a Green Day cover band at The Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. After that, they went to see Alex’s friends DJ in Boston, where Acacia met even more of Alex’s best friends before they became “official”. Alex asked Acacia to be his girlfriend in the most romantic way possible: while eating street meat on a stoop in the streets of Boston.

They made their relationship work through the Covid-19 pandemic, with Acacia basically living with Alex and his housemate Kampy (god bless him for not killing Acacia for being ~high maintenance~) all through lockdown. They celebrated their first anniversary on a trip to Maine in July 2020 and they moved in together in Ashland in September 2020.&nbsp;

Four years later and they have gone on so many adventures, explored so many new places, and created some amazing memories together.

Acacia introduced Alex to her love of traveling, and Alex introduced Acacia to his love of sports and music. They now both love traveling and going to sporting events and concerts together. Alex brought Acacia to her first Patriots game and Bruins game pretty early on in their relationship. They have now been to a Patriots game at Gillette and in Arizona, and they have been to three Bruins games since they started dating. Alex expanded Acacia's world when it comes to music, and she has now even been to TWO Tool concerts.

They have travelled all throughout New England and to a number of other states, like Iowa, Florida, Arizona, Texas, New York, and New Jersey. Alex actually said “I love you” to Acacia for the first time right after a Tool concert… in Newark New Jersey (lol). Three years of being complete goofballs later, and they took their first international trip together in 2022 where Alex surprised Acacia with a proposal in Santorini, Greece.

When the aren’t exploring new places, you can most likely find them, driving around with the windows down jamming out to “white dad music”, binging Breaking Bad, watching the most recent Marvel movie premier, or snuggling with Alex’s family dog Louie.&nbsp;

THE PROPOSAL

After months of Alex telling Acacia that he wasn’t ready to marry her, he completely shocked her during their trip to Greece in September 2022. After getting the ring through three different international airports, packing and unpacking at four different hotels, the ring box flying out of Alex's bag in front of Acacia, and four failed opportunities in both Athens and Santorini due to Acacia’s horrible time management skills (and some other funny stories), Alex finally popped the question during a sunset catamaran cruise in Santorini, Greece, surrounded by strangers... And the rest is history!!!

We will be getting married at <a href="https://farmroadestate.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Farm Road Estate</a> in West Dover, VT. While looking at venues, our top priority was finding a space that made it easy for all of our close friends and families to mingle all weekend, which is exactly why we chose to get married at Farm Road Estate!! Farm Road Estate is located in beautiful southern Vermont, just minutes from the renowned ski resort at Mount Snow, and nestled on 32 natural acres. The estate grounds will be exclusively ours for the entire holiday weekend. All wedding guests, including those staying offsite, will have access to all of Farm Road Estate's amenities, including a Heated Swimming Pool, Fishing Pond, Sports Court, Swimming Pond, Hiking Trails, and Deerfield River Walk access. ***FUN FACT***Forbes actually listed this property as one of the most romantic places to stay in the world!

Getting There

If you are flying in you have a few options: - Albany Int'l Airport, NY (1 hour and 30 minutes)- Bradley Int'l Airport, CT (1 hour and 40 minutes)- Worcester Regional Airport, MA (2 hours)- Boston Logan Int'l Airport, MA (2 hrs and 40 minutes) THIS IS IMPORTANT: If you are driving from the Boston area you will end up on Route 9 West once you are in VT. Your GPS will then try to get you to take a right onto Augur Hole Rd or Hughes Rd. This is fine if you like off-roading! But if you prefer pavement just keep going on Route 9 West for another 8 miles or so and your GPS will redirect you to take a right on Route 100. This only adds a couple minutes.

We'd love for you to stay on the property with us, and have reserved the entire property for this reason, but space is limited. Due to the number of guests we are expecting, we recommend booking your stay with one of the accommodations below, as onsite will be reserved for family and the wedding party.
