On October 7th, 2020, we reconnected, sparking the beginning of our whirlwind romance.

In January 2021, we took our first trip to Nashville, TN, and instantly fell in love with the city. Little did we know, just two short months later, we would be taking the next big step in our journey together.

Moose finally gave her stamp of approval! 😂 For anyone who doesn’t know, Moose was the head of the household. For the longest time, she and Mason would argue over which side of the bed was 'theirs' (though it was really hers—Mason just borrowed it!). She’d greet us every day when we got home and even told us when it was time to go to bed. Most things revolved around her timeline, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. Unfortunately, Moose passed away in Tennessee in 2022 and is so dearly missed. We love and miss you, Moose.

The three of us packed up the U-Haul and car, embarking on a long overnight drive to our new home in Tennessee.

Less than a month later (though not surprisingly), we adopted a dog! He was originally named Channing Tatum/Koda, but we kept the name Koda. He quickly settled in, making himself right at home, and has since become our lovable security guard, couch hog, and big baby—whose snoring sounds like a tractor-trailer truck!

As if one cat and one dog weren’t enough, we decided to add just one more... Whiskey! Named after Tennessee whiskey, of course! Whiskey quickly became our firecracker on wheels. Every toy was hers overnight, and you couldn’t (and still can’t) pet Koda without her being right there to make sure she’s getting loved on, too!

In May of 2022, we got the wonderful news that we were expecting a baby!

On January 18th, 2023 we welcomed Salem Marie Prentiss to the world. We have loved every moment with her and couldn't be more proud of the amazing little girl she is. Watching her grow and learn has been the most rewarding thing in the world. She's funny, smart, and crazy, with a personality bigger than this universe.

Believe it or not our home still felt a little empty. We decided it was time to add another family member... Douglas! Doug is our entertainer, life of the party, and (he thinks) center of attention. He was found living at a gas station called Douglas BP in Tennessee trying to jump into customers cars. Someone rescued him and we were lucky enough to have him join our family.

Oops! Did someone say there was a stray kitten in the Marshalls parking lot while I was out shopping alone? Yes they did! If you know me then you know I will never leave an animal who needs help behind... welcome to the family Olive! named after Olive garden because the people trying to save her were feeding her Olive Garden breadsticks. Olive or better known as Ov is our shy yet feisty kitten, with lots of love to give.

Thankfully we had missed a lot of crazy weather in Tennessee besides the snow storms we brought with us. One particular night we had tornado warnings and corralled everyone into the kitchen with a mattress shield just in case. When the wind died down we stepped out on the porch to see if it was safe and *somebody* decided that it would be a good time to pop the question. We can't remember if there was a verbal yes but I think we both took it as one and knew that we would be together for a long long time.

And just like that our time in Tennessee was quickly coming to a close. While we greatly miss it we couldn't be more thankful for everything that happened there. Many, many new animal friends. The loss of others. The most beautiful little girl, lots of memories, and of course amazing food. But our next journey was about to start. We bought a house back in mass, so it was time to pack up and head out!

We made the long trek; two dogs, two cats, one baby and three sleep deprived drivers finally landed at our new home. It might sound crazy but a trip like that feels like a fun adventure (but only when you're finished). We couldn't have done it with out our families help! There's nothing like being home. We started our new lives right away, a new job, Salem was off to school, lots of DIY projects and many more things to come!
